Tam Chuc Pagoda has a large area estimated at over 500 hectares and is the largest spiritual tourism area in Vietnam today. The pagoda is located in Ha Nam province and belongs to Kim Bang district, Ba Sao town. The pagoda is located about 70km from Hanoi capital, more than 4km from Huong Pagoda and about 30km from Bai Dinh Pagoda. Up to now, this pagoda is considered the largest in the Tam Chuc tourist area complex

Located in Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province, Tam Chuc is about 60 km from Hanoi center, about 12 km from Phu Ly city, Ha Nam, about 4.5 km from Perfume Pagoda (Hanoi) and about 30 km from Bai Dinh pagoda (Ninh Binh); It is a unique flooded limestone mountain area with majestic water scenery. Tam Chuc scenic complex has a total area of nearly 5,000 hectares, including 1,000 hectares of lake, 3,000 hectares of natural mountains and forests, and 1,000 hectares of valleys.

Currently, Tam Chuc Pagoda tourist complex is a quite famous spiritual destination in Vietnam and is also one of the largest pagodas in the world. Tam Chuc Pagoda possesses a poetic and charming scenery with a vast lake in front, majestic limestone mountains in the back and surrounding natural forests. Am Chuc is a large spiritual tourism complex, divided into 4 areas: reception area, spiritual area, experience area and nature reserve area.
Tam Quan Gate is the main gate leading into the pagoda, carrying the traditional architecture of Vietnamese temples and pagodas with 3 extremely majestic gates. The gate carries the concept of "three perspectives" of Buddhism including the related, the non-reactive and the neutral, representing the form (falseness), the emptiness (impermanence) and the middle of both. At Tam Chuc Pagoda, you will pass through two Tam Quan gates: the internal Tam Quan and the external Tam Quan. Tam Quan gate is the first point to welcome tourists. The gate is built massively, solidly and has impressive patterns. Tam Quan Inner Gate is located on the Shinto axis, which is the next destination after tourists take a boat trip on Luc Nhac Lake and visit the spiritual area. With a column frame structure, a curved roof made entirely of reinforced concrete painted in imitation wood color and a height of 28.8 m, the Tam Quan noi gate will certainly overwhelm you with its grandeur.
Passing through the inner Tam Quan gate, you will reach the area of 32 prayer columns, also known as the garden of prayer columns - one of the unique highlights that create the majestic space of Tam Chuc Pagoda. The prayer column is a unique mascot that prays for all good things, peace and prosperity for the country and its people. The prayer pillars at Tam Chuc Pagoda have a weight of up to 200 tons, made from Thanh Hoa green stone with a height of about 14 m. The design of the column's base is lotus-shaped, the column's body is hexagonal, the top of the column is shaped like a lotus bud, surrounded by hand-sculpted images of Buddha's teachings.
Tam Chuc has 3 main halls: Quan Am Palace, Giao Chu Palace and Tam The Palace. Quan Am Palace is a place to worship Buddha with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes. When you come here, you will admire a rich treasure with examples of Buddha's compassion and kindness. The Catholic Church is a place to worship Shakyamuni Buddha, inside there is a statue made of solid bronze, weighing nearly 100 tons, crafted by Vietnamese artisans. Surrounding the Patriarch's Palace are four large bas-reliefs, talking about the turning points in the Buddha's life from the time he was born, attained enlightenment, preached the Dharma, until entering nirvana. Tam The Palace is the largest building in the Three Palaces, inside are three statues representing the past, present and future. On the walls of Tam The Palace are bas-reliefs depicting nirvana, where the soul is liberated from the cycle of reincarnation, death and rebirth.
Ngoc Pagoda is the highest location in the spiritual tourism complex of Tam Chuc Pagoda, located on the top of That Tich mountain behind Tam The Palace. The pagoda was built with red granite slabs that were firmly assembled without any adhesion. As the name suggests, inside there is a ruby statue weighing up to 4.9 tons.
Tam Chuc Communal House is located in the middle of Luc Nhan Lake, with beautiful scenery like a paradise. Legend has it that this is the place to worship Queen Dinh Dynasty - Duong Thi Nguyet and is a place to preserve ancient vestiges from the reign of King Dinh.
