Cryptocurrency can be risky due to market volatility and lack of regulation. Use reputable platforms, avoid emotional trading, and only invest what you can afford to lose. Be cautious and remember, not your keys, not your crypto.

Staying aware of all the happenings of the current crypto scene can get a little crazy at times. For instance, this month there is a whole lot cooking on Solana, so there are plenty of conferences, airdrops to catch and new protocols to be aware of.

Of course, Solana isn’t the only game in town and there is a lot happening in other ecosystems as well.

To get the details on all that’s going on, it’s worth spending some time looking on places like Bulb, Publish0x and Grill to see what activities others have been up to, or what things are being farmed. Sometimes, the best tips can come from within.

So with that said, today, let us check out Lisk and see what’s happening. But first, a big shoutout to PVM for putting this one on the radar. If you dig airdrops, you should give him a follow.

What Is Lisk

Lisk is a stand-alone L2 with its own ecosystem that aims to provide fast, cost-efficient transactions that Ethereum secures. Using the Lisk portal, users can sign-up, track their activity and quest their way to glory while earning points that potentially qualify for an airdrop.
With just over 30 days left to run, the window to get active and make some noise on-chain is closing fast.

The Portal & Referring

Most activities will be centralized in the Lisk portal. Here you can find Dapps in the ecosystem, the list of tasks that will help you work your way up the leader board as well as referral codes of your own to share with friends.

There’s also a bridge and plenty of resources to read that will help get you started.
First, you’ll need a code of your own. Use 5WCk70 to gain access.

Special mention: If you are using Brave, you might find some of the configurations make accessing the portal a little tricky. If you notice any problems, try another browser. Once you’re in you’ll need to connect your socials and discord to start earning points.

Grind It Out

There are single reward tasks that you’ll be able to earn points on, but the best points will be earned via regular visits and transactions on the Lisk blockchain. You’ll also want to stake some LSK to earn governance power and voting rights.

If you are planning to transact regularly you’ll need to hit a bridge to get some accessible funds to earn on. Of course, we would recommend the ultra-fast Across Bridge that we wrote about last month. Go there via this link.

If you haven’t used Across before, you’ll be happy to know that they are currently running a rebate program in partnership with Optimism. What does this mean for you?
Rewards. Rewards for just doing things you were going to do anyway. Free crypto is the best crypto and Across with Optimism delivers.

Stake & Transact

Staking lets you earn up to 18% rewards and helps show some commitment to engaging with governance issues. Like most airdrops, keeping your activity up and engaging with as much of the protocol as you can typically gives us the best outcomes. So, it’s worth staking some of your bag even if only for a short period.

Once you’re done, you can earn additional points for being active and holding certain tokens in your connected wallet as well as multipliers for transacting each day consistently. The best bit is, that you shouldn’t have to wait long to see the fruits of your labour.

Each transaction you carry out will add to your overall score. You can work your way up the leaderboard but it’ll take a bit of effort and consistency.

Adding to liquidity pools will provide some additional rewards as well as giving you a points multiplier each day. You can work your way through the pools by carrying out liquidity activity which helps add to the consistency we were talking about before.

OkuTrade and Ionic seem to be where things are at for this. You can find both apps in the Ecosystem portal, so it’s worth adding to the pool and letting it convert to points. The best bit about Lisk is it avoids the terrible gas fees that so many of us have dealt with on Ethereum in the past.

In Closing

Solana is on fire at the moment, but there’s still plenty of activity and programs to explore on the Ethereum L2s and bridges like Across make it much easier to get started exploring these ecosystems using your existing assets.

We’re more spoilt for choice than ever before and while it’s natural to assume that the next big retraction means that some of these projects might struggle to gain traction, in the current market that isn’t the case.

What airdrops are you farming at the moment? Have you got an interest in a particular project? Share it in the comments so people can find the next solid tip.

One More Thing

If you’re active on Solana you should be active on Layer 3. And, if you're active on Layer 3 then you should be part of the GimmeCrypto guild so you can join some familiar faces and quest your way to glory.

There’s content dropping about Layer3 quests over the next few weeks and the rumour mill is talking about the L3 ecosystem providing us with plenty of excitement regarding airdrops and new protocols.

The best bit though, is that by completing quests and staying informed you can find plenty of interesting projects to explore.

Technology is fun but blockchain tech in particular can be pretty awesome.
