Nemesis Unveiled
Nemesis Unveiled

In shadows deep, where secrets sleep,
The steps of Nemesis softly creep,
No king, no serf, no heart so pure,
Can hope her judgment to endure.
She rides on winds of time’s own breath,
Her silent whisper speaks of death,
Not in the form of mortal end,
But of reckoning—foe or friend.
For deeds of greed, for lies untold,
For promises you did not hold,
She waits with patience, calm and still,
To bend your pride, to break your will.
The scales she holds, no mortal sees,
Balanced by eternal decrees,
She tips them not for love or hate,
But weighs each sin in quiet fate.
The deeds you thought were cast away,
In dark recesses kept at bay,
Shall rise like ghosts, their chains shall bind,
The guilty heart, the reckless mind.
In wealth you live, in splendor bright,
But Nemesis knows no man’s might,
She cares not for your gold or throne,
Her justice, cold, remains her own.
A whispered name in halls of power,
A shiver felt in midnight’s hour,
She moves unseen, yet felt by all,
In grandest courts or humble hall.
You sowed the seeds of false pretense,
Of envy’s curse and insolence,
Now Nemesis, with sharpened blade,
Shall cut the path your hands have made.
Think not her vengeance swift and cruel,
For she is neither harsh nor fool,
Her wrath is slow, a creeping vine,
That twists and winds with measured time.
The tyrant laughs, the traitor schemes,
But Nemesis invades their dreams,
A subtle fear, a chilling glance,
That haunts them in their every stance.
And those who toil in honest ways,
Who suffer in the darker days,
She offers them no bitter scorn,
But smiles upon the just and worn.
For Nemesis is balance pure,
Her touch a mark, her path secure,
She rights the wrongs in unseen tides,
In human hearts, where guilt resides.
You flee her grasp, you hide in shame,
But Nemesis knows every name,
She waits beyond the reach of time,
Her justice neither quick nor blind.
The haughty fall, the proud shall bend,
Before the force they can’t contend,
For Nemesis is fate’s own hand,
A tide that sweeps across the land.
And those who think they are immune,
Shall find her presence all too soon,
She dwells in every whispered plea,
In cries for mercy, wild and free.
The paths we choose, the words we speak,
Shall summon Nemesis to seek,
To balance every act and word,
Until the final truth is heard.
She is not cruel, nor full of rage,
But wisdom drawn from every age,
A mirror to our darker side,
Where truth and consequence collide.
In realms of thought, in hearts of men,
She plants her seeds and waits till when,
The time is right, the moment true,
To show the world what we must do.
So tread with care, in word and deed,
For Nemesis, she takes no heed,
Of wealth or fame or false delight,
She walks the line 'twixt wrong and right.
Her justice reigns, her scales persist,
In every tale, in every twist,
For Nemesis, with steady hand,
Will guide us all, her truth to stand.
