Kim Peek was a remarkable individual who had an exceptional memory and a remarkable ability to recall vast amounts of information.

He was born on November 11, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was diagnosed with a rare condition called agenesis of the corpus callosum, which meant that the two halves of his brain were not connected. Despite this condition, Peek possessed an incredible memory and was able to recall vast amounts of information with ease.

He was known as a "mega-savant" and was able to read books at a rate of up to 8,000 words per minute, which is more than 10 times the average reading speed. Peek's incredible memory and unique abilities were first discovered by his father, Fran Peek, who noticed that his son had an exceptional memory. Fran Peek began to work with his son, teaching him about the world and helping him to develop his abilities.

Peek's abilities were later made famous by the movie "Rain Man," which was released in 1988 and starred Dustin Hoffman as a character based on Peek. The movie won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and helped to raise awareness of the condition that Peek suffered from.

Throughout his life, Peek was able to recall vast amounts of information on a wide range of topics, including history, geography, literature, and music. He was also able to perform complex mathematical calculations in his head and had an incredible ability to remember phone numbers and addresses.

Peek passed away on December 19, 2009, at the age of 58. His legacy lives on, however, as he continues to inspire others with his incredible abilities and his determination to overcome the challenges that he faced.
