In January 2022 Polygon blockchain broke for one week. Transaction fees got very high, and transactions slowed down a lot. All this is due to one game that has gained enormous popularity. The name of this game was Sunflower Farmers. Players opened several accounts just to.... collect more radishes. The entire Polygon Matic community was alarmed. How could one game slow down the entire blockchain so much? Negotiations with the developers were undertaken and the game was eventually taken down. After more than a year of work to improve it, the game returned under the name Sunflower Land and is one of the most popular games on Polygon. Sunflower Land is a farming game with fantasy elements. You grow vegetables and fruits, make baked goods and drinks, and expand your farm. This is a very simplified description of the game. The project is constantly developing and new elements are being added. Among the latest innovations is fishing. There are also such interesting features as treasure hunting, making chemical mixtures and many others.

There is no high cost to start the Sunflower Land adventure. You just need to have a web3 wallet and make an initial payment. A part of this amount will be donated to the charity project of your choice. Entry currently costs about $5. You will receive your plot and character for it. You can start right away by planting some vegetables. In the game you will also cut down trees that will be needed to make picks for stone, iron and gold. There are many buildings that need to be built in order to have the ability to make baked goods and have animals. The game is built in such a way that you have to spend a lot of time expanding your farm before you can start making money. Of course, you can immediately sell what you produce, but this will not be the best strategy. By devoting resources to expanding your farm your earning capacity will definitely increase. For some vegetables you have to wait more than a day for them to grow. Here your patience and perseverance will be tested. This makes sense, because it prevents token dumping - SFL on the market.

Trading is an integral part of the game, and you'll quickly learn that you'll have to sell some of your produce in order to have seed money. You can sell your crops directly in the seed store or by making baked goods and delivering your products to various characters placed in the game. There is also a market place where you can trade directly with other players.

The game has its own seasons and special events. By following the forum on Discord you will be up to date with information. Participation in special events gives you a chance to gain unique NFTs that make the game easier for you. The creators of Sunflower Land have described the game as Play-2-Own. You become the owner of not only the farm and characters, but also a large collection of additional NFTs. Sometimes they are decorative, giving your farm and character a unique character. Other NFTs help you mine more materials, harvest more crops, get additional SFLs. As you develop your farm and character level, you will be able to raise your stats and add new skills.

In the next part of the article I will give you advice on how to play to optimize your income. These are my own thoughts, but you can work out your own strategy that will suit you.

How quickly you build a profitable farm depends on whether you want to invest in the game or rather build it only with the funds you obtain by playing. Personally, I tried both ways. In the beginning I invested Matic in the development of the game. Currently, I maintain and develop the farm only from what I earn in the game. Investing in the game will accelerate the development of the farm, but only up to certain limits. In order to develop your character and expand your farm you will have to make baked goods, so you will have to accumulate the necessary ingredients for this and wait until you have enough baked goods to raise your level.

Another strategy is to collect only what you need to expand your farm and raise your level. This is a quick strategy, but the storage capacity is limited. If you don't sow your seeds you can't accumulate any more in the next round. Using this tactic, you will lose seeds you don't buy because your warehouse is overflowing. In this tactic it is useful to bake those cakes that give you the most xp.

Another tactic is to patiently sow everything you have. Although this way of playing requires a lot of patience from you and often you would like to speed up the game this is one of the most effective tactics. First of all, you will not lose the opportunity to buy seeds for which there is no room in the warehouse. Secondly, after a certain time you will have a showcase stock of vegetables and fruits needed to make baked goods. Every day you get orders to deliver ingredients and baked goods at attractive prices. Fulfilling these orders is more profitable than selling. Having accumulated a lot of ingredients you will be able to fulfill more orders.

The strategy I'm currently using is to expand my farm as quickly as possible by sowing all the seeds and gathering what I need to expand. On top of that I make baked goods that give high xp. I would like to point out that I already have almost all the buildings built so I can only concentrate on expanding my acreage and raising my level. If you don't have all the buildings then I don't recommend this strategy. It is better to have more opportunities for baking. Vegetables and fruits that I don't need I sell right away and this way I accumulate SFL for more seeds and tools.

Remember that it takes a very long time to develop a farm. If you want to have a profitable farm for the next bullrun you better start playing now. You still have some time.
