A Closer Look At DeNet Watcher Nodes

Run A Free Watcher Node
I recently published an article addressing a relatively new DePIN storage project built on the Peaq Network. DeNet is a WEB3-based storage protocol yet to launch its token. The arrival of Watcher Nodes enables anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection to run a node and earn WN tokens. Another cool perk is that soon Watcher Nodes will be able to earn PEAQ tokens. Not much has been revealed regarding the when and the how. However, it could be announced at any time.
It would be great if WN tokens could be converted to PEAQ tokens. This is just something I would like to see and is not a scheduled development. After spending some time on the dApp I realized how easy and quick it is to increase the level of your Watcher Node. Downloading the dApp and creating a new Watcher Node will position the user at Stage 1. A Watcher Node can be upgraded to Stage 20. I am already on Stage 7 and hope to reach Stage 20 in a few weeks.
Once I reach Stage 20 I will start stacking WN tokens. I am not concerned about building a position at the lower levels. Stage 20 offers 220K WN per day, making it achievable to accumulate millions of WN in a month. This is a far cry from the thousands earned daily on the lower levels. Gaining referrals at Stage 20 will also be a lot more viable. Every new referral comes with a full battery, which will be worth about 72K WN. It’s all about the long game.
Dual Passive Income
Earning PEAQ tokens at a later stage makes the DeNet Watcher Node an attractive opportunity. Remember, PEAQ tokens can be staked, creating an additional passive income stream. Passive income that gives birth to passive income is the ultimate. It doesn’t get better than that. It’s similar to earning Passive GRASS tokens and then staking them for even more passive income. Always maximize your moves in the market. Compounding is crucial to exponential growth.

As I mentioned, it is still unclear how PEAQ will be earned. However, it is coming! As far as I can see the best strategy for now is to spend earned WN tokens to upgrade your Watcher Node. You never know, earning PEAQ might be reserved for Watcher Nodes above Stage 10 or Stage 15. I am just speculating here but this is often how these programs work. A Watcher Node at Stage 20 will be well-positioned to benefit from any additional revenue opportunities, including earning PEAQ tokens.
I plan to be as prepared as possible when additional income opportunities arise, especially PEAQ. Free PEAQ will be an absolute pleasure. I have also mentioned that Silencio will also introduce the earning of PEAQ tokens. Silencio is another DePIN built on Peaq that tracks noise pollution. Projects within the Peaq ecosystem appear to be incorporating income opportunities with PEAQ, which is an exciting development that will hopefully prove to be a profitable decision.
I have also been very impressed with the quality and finish of the DeNet application. It’s really first-class with a super slick finish. I pay attention to these sorts of details as they reveal much regarding the caliber and dedication of the team. Final Thoughts
The entire selling point of DePIN is monetization. People will not offer up their devices/machines as part of a global network free of charge. This aspect guarantees a future of passive income within this particular sector. Ignoring DePIN will later be seen as one of the silliest mistakes, especially as there are no real barriers to entry. I am excited about this project. Let’s hope it soars in market cap and contributes to PEAQ’s market cap! See you next time!
