STOP, REST & REFIRE
STOP, REST AND REFIRE
You've been on and on. Up and doing that you hardly have time for yourself. I understand that you have goals to accomplish, bills to pay, destiny to fulfill. But have you had the time to rest?
So many people equate slowing down to laziness and unproductivity, but is that really true? You are stuck in between so many priorities and work that you don't even know what exactly you do again. You are dabbling girl!
You need a break to rethink, rest and come back with new strength, new energy, greater force and vision.
What exactly are your priorities? How many piles of work have you left undone? But yet you are so busy, take a break sit down and have a rethink.
You are not a log of wood, you have blood running through your veins. Your body need to be invigorated. You perform more if you are revitalized.
Take a break from work and rest. Go out and explore your world, take a chilled drink, rest your back well on that cozy chair with eyes closed in your sunglasses, exhale deeply as you feel the fresh breeze of the ocean. Bar beach is not far away!
When working on a complex problem or when you feel that you have too much to do, it is easy to convince yourself that you do not have the time to take breaks.
Relaxing and social breaks have been found to be particularly beneficial. A relaxing break can help to facilitate recovery, by returning your mental and psychical functional systems to their baseline Additionally, a relaxing break can help to reset your mood, thereby promoting positive wellbeing and reducing stress.
An old adage says, "All work done and no play makes jack a dull boy". Sometimes, free yourself and relax your over-busied body.
A man slumped on the road few metres from my house. I quickly ran out to take a look. A kind fellow called an ambulance who rushed the man to a private hospital.
New flash! He died two minutes after he arrived the hospital. Rumour has it that he was a very wealthy man, always up and doing. Taking trips and making money, he had little or no time to take care of himself. He ate at odd hours and rarely slept.
Yes he was successful, but stressed. Robert Kiyosaki always say; Do not work for money but have money work for you.
In your pursuit for excellence and greatness, never lose yourself. Strike a balance, find time to rest.
Sleep is sweet, rest is important. Vacation is not a sin! Just don't abuse it.
God understand the importance of REST. He left the pattern for us. He worked for six days and rested on the seventh day.
If you must rest, it must be from work.
Don't go lazing around. You must do something before you think of resting.
This article is not to stir up laziness but to make you see reasons why you must take a break, before your break.
Rest your busy head.
Come back revitalized.
You need a break!
A break isn't a pause or a limitation to progress. A break is part of the process. See it as a time to rest and plan. Know this and know peace. Take care of your physical and mental health. I do not want to see a successful, mentally derailed person. I do not want to see a successful you with a poor health.
STRIKE A BALANCE. 🙂
