The temptation of Christ with us

So today I got  thinking about the temptation of Jesus Christ and I realised two things; 

1) the devil is a liar even when he is trying to say the truth or speak the word.

2) the significance of each temptation. 

Note: the temptation were simply to test the hungers of Jesus christ.

I) temptation of stone to bread: this was to test the hunger for the flesh/ body.
II) temptation of throwing himself down:
This was to test the hunger for recognition/ pride.
III) temptation of bowing down and receiving the world:
This was to test the hunger for wealth/ power.
 
On a daily basis each of us are faced with these hungers.
Ministers of today are greatly faced with this and fall to it.
I was skimming through a news and I saw one that caught my eyes on how a pastor fell to the hunger of the flesh.
You see young and old ministers during ministrations exhibit all amount of pride.
And the hunger for recognition has eaten deep into ministers.
The search for power has driven people into areas they shouldn't have entered. The hunger for wealth today is so greatly that rituals has become the order of the day.

Good news

With the aid of the holy spirit he will aid us tame our human hungers. But it's only possible if we accept him and let him to do so.
