How To Achieve Your Goals And Overcome Failure

By failing I mean that you are not able to do what you want to do. For e.g want to start your own business, want to become a successful actor, chef, choreographer, fashion designer, social activist, or anything else; But can't make it.

" Don’t Succeed To Fail "

And by moving forward, I mean you keep growing in the eyes of society…. You reach a good destination, buy a car, bungalow and other such materialistic things.

Friends, many of us live with some dream or the other that in future we will do something big, do something great, but for some reason or the other we keep postponing those dreams and the flow in which life is going on remains the same. We keep moving ahead in the flow…we complete our studies, get engaged in some job or business, whether it is of our choice or not…and then start growing in it…we start earning money, and When money comes, we start thinking about investing it in the right place; As a result, within a few years we acquire many luxuries. Some we have taken on down payment and some on EMI.

Life goes on like this but when you settle down a bit, you start feeling a void in your life… despite everything, you are not able to be satisfied and once again you feel that you should listen to your heart. …Chase your dreams;…even after ignoring them for so many days, those dreams do not die because its seed is somewhere within you, and when it gets your attention, it starts growing again! And you once again become restless to fulfill those dreams…think of ideas, make plans…but in most of the cases these plans and ideas remain in vain…

-> Why does this happen ?

Because your risk taking capacity has reduced a lot….Now you have become accustomed to a different standard of living or lifestyle, your liabilities have increased, you cannot take the risk of leaving your job or changing your business. You find yourself in a place where sitting idle even for a month seems impossible!! And this becomes your FAILURE. Now you have to keep yourself engaged unwillingly in the same work which gives you money but does not give you satisfaction and in most of the cases it neither gives you enough money nor satisfaction.

-> So what should be done?

If you are not yet stuck in such a situation, then keep these things in mind:

1.) Don't try to grow in work that you don't like wholeheartedly. And even if we may not know our passion, it is easy to know what we do not like. Therefore, it is useless to succeed in a work which you do not like. For e.g. you are in a sales and marketing job and you do not like this work, then do not work to get promotion in this job, just work to run the job. This is a bit difficult, but you have to do it, because getting into the habit of earning money from work you don't like can make you unsuccessful.

2.) Until you get the work of your mind, try to do something that can give you maximum free time. And use this free time to achieve your goals.

3.) Keep your liabilities limited, especially do not take any such loan which will force you to remain busy in your work to pay the EMI. It would be appropriate to take such loans only when the money is coming as per your wish.

4.) Keep exploring your real interest and liking, and try to take some steps in that direction as far as possible. Even if these steps are very small, it is certain that each step will take you closer to your destination.

-> What to do if you have already reached such a condition?

It means that now it has become a compulsion for you to do your job or the work you are doing, because leaving it means a definite financial crisis. What should be done in such situation??? Frankly telling, I don't know what can be done in such a situation... I can write many things to tell, but I always try to share such ideas which are practical, which you can actually apply. Yes, one approach might work in some cases….Do whatever you want to do virtually.

Of course it has its limits and not every work can be done in this way, but in case your goal can be achieved in this way then you can try.

-> What does it mean to do virtually?

It means, you do the work of your mind using the internet. For this you will have to create or get a website/blog related to your interest.

For instance, if you want to become a Chef and are currently stuck in an IT job, then create a food blog and post various types of recipes and cooking tips on it. If you want to start your own travel company then create a travel related blog…and so on.

-> What will be the benefit out of this ?

You will be able to make some progress in a field related to your interest sitting at home. And since you can do this work anywhere and anytime, the chances of it continuing and progressing are much higher.

The chances of growth are much greater
Your knowledge in our field will keep improving. And if ever in future you want to do this physically, then this knowledge will be very useful.

By continuously working on the blog, many people will know you and it is possible that an opportunity may emerge from here which can give you a well-paying opportunity related to your interest.

Your blog can also give you an alternate source of income which will ultimately be helpful in reducing your liabilities.

Friends, I am lucky that in time I realized that it is foolish to expand materialistically before finding the work of your heart; Don't stop yourself from expanding until you start earning money from the work you are passionate about. George Burns also said that it is better to fail at something you love than succeed at something you hate.

No matter what condition you are in…don't surrender…keep fighting to achieve your goal…like a boxing match, in the game of life too, it is not the one who falls who loses, it is the one who refuses to get up…you No matter how many times you fall, never give up, get up and achieve your goal despite all the difficulties.
