Tension off as Bassey scores

Calvin Bassey, a Super Eagles defender, was happy to score his first Eredivisie goal for Ajax during the weekend's 4-2 victory at Volenda.

Ajax won on Saturday after going four games without a victory, which included defeats to Liverpool, AZ Alkmaar, and Napoli.
Ajax beat Volendam 4-2 away from home as Bassey scored his first goal for the club since signing from Glasgow Rangers in the summer.
The victory came a few days after Ajax lost to Napoli 6-1 at home in the Champions League.
Bassey asked, "How do you think it would be after that (Napoli loss)?" in response to the significant Champions League loss to Napoli. It was obviously not nice. Nobody desires to be the target of it.
