A Comprehensive Report on the Web3 Rails Infrastructure Play
Stacy Muur highlights Gelato ($GEL) as one of their strongest convictions in the current cycle, citing its usage by top-tier teams and integration with 400+ services and tools.
Gelato is positioned as the go-to spot for Web3 developers with its modular approach and extensive integration capabilities.
The platform’s widespread adoption and impressive track record make Gelato significantly undervalued, according to Muur.

GEL
Gelato $GEL is one of my strongest convictions in this cycle.
• Used by top-tier teams like @AstarNetwork and @Lisk
• Integrated with 400+ services, and tools
• Infrastructure play
• Building the future of web3 rails with RaaS
Comprehensive @gelatonetwork product report ↓
When a platform receives highly positive reviews from top Web3 teams like @astar @optimism and @polygon, and attracts top-tier dapps to build using its infra, it becomes difficult to ignore.
If @gelatonetwork is still uncharted territory for you, then this 🧵 is all you need.
First, let me provide some context.
In Web2, we have numerous SaaS (software-as-a-service) platforms available: Google Cloud, AWS, Supabase, etc.
Why would a business choose to develop something from scratch when there are ready-made solutions? No reason.
In Web3, we have now reached a level of maturity where developers can adopt a modular approach to launch their dApps and even blockchains. This is where @gelatonetwork comes into the spotlight.
With 400+ integrated services and tools, it has become the go-to spot for Web3 devs.
Need an App-chain? Pick your stack: @Arbitrum, @Optimism, @0xPolygon, or @zksync.
AltDA layer? Gelato helps integrating with @CelestiaOrg, @AvailProject, or @eigenlayer.
Want more? Tap into customized Rollup stacks: native-yield, zero-gas, restaked rollups and more!
Considering building a dApp with random numbers? All you need is Gelato’s VRF.
Even when it comes to automation, there’s no need to worry! @MakerDAO, @PancakeSwap, & @OlympusDAO all rely on Gelato for that.
Functions for offchain data: @PythNetwork network uses it for delivering the price-feeds on chain.
Account Abstraction: @circle, @ConnextNetwork leverage Relay for gasless transactions.
Tbh, I was amazed when I started exploring the number of projects that rely on @gelatonetwork.
The tasks they solve are incredibly diverse, ranging from integrating account abstraction support to deploying app-centric L2s – just like the use case of @LiskHQ and @AstarNetwork.
The case of app-specific rollup deployment is particularly intriguing.
So far, rollups have proven to be the most efficient solution for scaling Ethereum, and all future upgrades will focus on making rollups even faster and more cost-effective.
Furthermore, the future of Ethereum is modular, with multiple specialized chains used for optimal performance.
Rollups handle transaction execution, Ethereum – settlement and consensus, while alternative DAs like @CelestiaOrg and @AvailProject contribute to data availability.
High-demanding dApps like @dYdX, @fraxfinance, and @aevoxyz are among the earliest adopters of the Rollup trend.
App-specific rollups make them faster and more cost-effective, while still benefiting from the security provided by L1 – a crucial consideration for users.
While it took years and millions of dollars for most projects to deploy rollups, @gelatonetwork makes the deployment of a fully customizable rollup fast and cost-effective.
They provide all the necessary elements like oracles, bridges, and indexers readily available to devs out-of-box deploying production-grade & fully-serviced L2 rollups without needing projects to write a single line of code.
Now, the speculative part.
Full disclosure: I am a holder of $GEL, entered at $60M market cap.
@gelatonetwork has had a rally but still has a market cap of $180M and an FDV of $320M.
Its closest competitor @alt_layer, for comparison, is at a $450M mcap & $4 BILLION FDV.
In my humble opinion, $GEL is significantly undervalued given its widespread adoption and impressive track record.
I recommend keeping a close eye on their developments.
And if you happen to be a dev following me, you already know the solution that helps you ship faster.
