Some of the interesting projects in Cosmos I'm invested in right now
I love the #Cosmos ecosystem.
I've got a few #defi #yield strategies active there.
It's a great user experience, bridging is really easy and fees are super low. It's seeing heaps of diversity in the projects. As each app is often it's own layer1 this means there is a lot of opportunities to stake for each of them. Via the Keplr wallet it's an incredibly easy experience and you are able to individually select validators to spread your slashing risk.
This episode of the Bell Curve podcast gives a great deep dive into what Cosmos is and what it's core value proposition is as compared to other #Layer1s.
Here are the projects I like (and am invested in currently):
Osmosis: It's the liquidity heart of Cosmos right now and it's Super Fluid Staking concept is something I think we'll see adopted across most of the rest of crypto in time
Regen Network: Regenerative Finance project focused on carbon credits and getting finance to regenerative environmental projects. They are part of a larger #refi movement in crypto<https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2023/02/06/the-rise-of-cryptos-brand-of-regenerative-finance/>.
Stride: Leading liquid staking protocol on Cosmos. Liquid staking in Cosmos discussion (including Stride).
Canto: A defi building protocol. Has some Beefy Finance vaults (if you're not interested in farming manually). Make sure to use the Synapse bridge for a #Layer2 and not #Ethereum if you don't want to get wrecked with #gasfees. This is a good explainer on what makes people bullish on Canto
Sommelier Finance: Compossible defi vaults. Aiming to be where anyone can build a decentralised investment fund. oX Research podcast episode with the founders.
Mars Protocol: Lending protocol. Was on the Terra Chain but has since just transitioned to it's own Cosmos chain. Think #Aave for Cosmos.
Evmos: Has struggled a little, but one of the original #EVM compatible #defiprotocols on Cosmos. Ultimately I think people like Canto come to rule this space but Evmos has done a lot of the hard work already, and the EVM will likely be bigger than Ethereum. Evmos just needs to find a bit more traction. A tight, integration with Mars Protocol could be the #liquidity boost it needs. Or possibly with Noble.
