Poetry! I KNOW YOU LOVE ME STILL
The whisper of doubt, a serpent in my ear, Hisses questions, fueled by unspoken fear. Time, a relentless tide, has ebbed and flowed, Leaving landscapes of love, once brightly glowed.
We built our castle on a foundation strong, With laughter's mortar and a hopeful song. But seasons shift, and winds of change may blow, Shaking the pillars, where our feelings grow.
Is the flame still burning, with the same bright spark? Do your eyes still hold me, in the fading dark? The silence stretches, a canvas vast and bare, Begging for a brushstroke, to show you care.
Perhaps it's just the shadows, playing tricks on sight, Casting fleeting doubts on love's eternal light. But the whisper persists, a nagging, mournful tune, "Does their heart still beat, in sweet unison with yours, beneath the moon?"
I search your gaze, for echoes of the past, For the warmth that held us, a love that seemed to last. Is it just nostalgia, a memory's embrace? Or does a flicker linger, on your tender face?
We've weathered storms together, hand in hand, Faced challenges unknown, in a shifting, foreign land. We've laughed until our sides ached, and cried until we slept, A tapestry of moments, carefully kept.
But even tapestries, vibrant in their hue, Can fade with time, the colors turning blue. Do the threads still hold, the pattern still defined? Or has love's artwork, lost its hold on your mind?
The doubt, a thief in the night, steals moments of delight, Leaving a hollowness, a void that feels so tight. I long for reassurance, a whispered word or two, To chase away the shadows, and mend what seems untrue.
Perhaps love's language shifts, from fiery words to peace, A quiet understanding, a love that finds release. In the comfortable silence, a knowing glance may say, "Though years may pass, my love won't fade away."
For love, like a flowing river, carves its path anew, Changing course and depth, yet forever strong and true. The rapids of passion may have calmed to a gentle stream, But the current carries us, on a love that's not a dream.
The doubt may linger, a visitor that won't depart, But I'll choose to trust, the love within your heart. For in the tapestry woven, with threads of every hue, There's a strength in our connection, a love forever new.
We'll face the unknown future, with hands entwined as one, Building trust anew, beneath the rising sun. For even when the whispers come, a chilling, mournful sound, I'll hold onto the warmth, of the love that can't be drowned.
Because in the quiet moments, when the world fades from sight, I see the answer clearly, in the embers of our light. You look at me, with a love that's soft and deep, And in your gentle gaze, my silent questions sleep.
The doubt may come and go, a fleeting, passing thing, But the love that binds us, forever it will cling. For even when unsaid, the answer rings so true, Yes, my love, yes, I still love you.
