We come, we stay and we leave.
I have always taken note of one of the key elements of life and living; the fact that it is full of coming and going. The staying part which is the in-between could be short or long but then, for those of us that are given to reflections, we focus more on the coming and going, the beginning and the ending.
I have written and posted about the seasonal cycle of life in which we come or begin at a certain point, and the completion which is when we leave or end. I have always been careful to not liken it to birth and death although they are very similar, if they are not actually the same thing. I mostly leave out the life and death part of it except for very direct occasions at least for the sake of my readers who may be intolerant of hearing “life and death”, especially the “death” part.
Whether we like it or not, the ending, the leaving or going away are all parts and parcels of life and they are what make life valuable. Think of the fact that you will not always have all the time you want or need, and you will have to make the most of what you have; this scenario will put you on your toes to make the most of what you have at your disposal. This makes time invaluable and the resources within your reach will be best used wisely.
At the end of a stage, you may reflect or think back on the beginning of that stage. And life happens. It is at this point that you may realize that the beginning and the end are almost similar. And it would be normal to get emotional.
Think!
Life is full of many beginnings.
The windows that are open to you now will not stay open for all time to come. Use your time very well. Treat people the best you can. And be conscious of every moment. This too, is part of life.
Be vigilant, watch your life cycles very closely.
For life, Sadiq Yusuf.
