When we do not pay adequate attention to one part of our lives, by default it also affects other parts of our lives. Our work, family, and relationships are closely intertwined so if we pay attention to one and neglect the other, it will affect our lives and that is why it is essential to come to a place of balance.
Work-life balance is a condition of equilibrium in which a person prioritizes the needs of one's career as well as the demands of one's personal life equally. As much as there is not an ideal situation where we can give equal attention to our work and personal lives, we must try our best to still prioritize one as well as the others.
Having a bad work-life balance can affect our productivity and result in stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety. On the other hand, having a good work-life balance can improve not only our physical, emotional, and mental well-being, but it’s also important for our career.
Increased responsibilities at work, working longer hours and Increased responsibilities at home can cause a poor work-life balance.
