ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore the potential of developing a customized ChatGPT-4 model to address health-related issues. The increasing demand for accessible and reliable healthcare information calls for innovative solutions that can provide personalized and context-aware responses. By fine-tuning the advanced AI model, ChatGPT-4, on health-specific datasets and integrating domain expertise, we seek to enhance its understanding of medical terminology, symptom analysis, and evidence-based recommendations. The study also emphasizes the importance of ethical considerations, user privacy, and continuous improvement to ensure the model's effectiveness and safety. The outcomes of this research have the potential to significantly impact healthcare accessibility, empower patients, and augment healthcare professionals in their decision-making process.

OVERVIEW

The current ChatGPT Model is based on the GPT-3.5 architecture whose training data goes up until September 2021, so as such it may not have information on events or developments that have occurred after that time. As a one-time Python-AI Developer myself, the utilization and effectiveness of a next-generation artificial intelligence model as ChatGPT may be, is dwindling owing to the fact that in a data-centric and data-driven world that we live in today, the training data should be apt and up-to-date but contrast it if you may with its prolific performance and dispensation of accurate information but although this may be a sign of progress but nothing should be left to chance when being applied in highly sensitive areas such as medicine.

Certainly! Developing a customized ChatGPT-4 to address health-related issues sounds like a promising project. Here's a proposal framework:

Express gratitude for the opportunity to apply for the research grant and highlight the potential long-term impact of the customized ChatGPT-4 in the healthcare domain.

CURRENT CHATGPT-3.5 LIMITATIONS IN MEDICINE

As an AI language model, It has some limitations when it comes to addressing health-related issues:

1. Lack of real-time information:

ChatGPT’s responses are based on preexisting knowledge up until September 2021. It doesn't have access to real-time or updated medical information, research studies, or emerging treatments. Therefore, it's crucial to consult up-to-date medical sources and healthcare professionals for the most accurate and current information.

2. Not a substitute for medical professionals:

While it can provide general information and suggestions, it's important to note that it’s not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Health-related decisions should always be made in consultation with qualified healthcare providers who have access to your complete medical history and can provide personalized guidance.

3. Limited understanding of individual contexts:

It doesn't have access to personal or confidential health information about individuals. Therefore, it may not be able to provide tailored advice or account for specific medical conditions, allergies, or other individual factors. It's important to consult with healthcare professionals who can consider your unique circumstances.

4. Legal and ethical considerations:

Providing healthcare advice and information involves legal and ethical considerations. It's essential to comply with applicable regulations and ensure the privacy and security of patient data when developing any health-related application.

5. Biases and errors:

AI models can inadvertently reflect biases present in the data they were trained on. While efforts are made to minimize biases, it's important to critically evaluate and validate the information provided by AI models.
