Are you an Honest Person?

Ask yourself this question and be specific: Yes or No? If you are an honest person, your soul will answer immediately as you read this. However, if your soul remains silent or starts finding excuses for your actions, it means you are not truly honest. Alas, but that is the truth. The truth from your soul. Accept the fact.

How Much Honesty Have You Shown in Your Professional Life?

In modern times, finding a proper job is challenging, leading some people to bribe their superiors for better positions. People often bribe officials in certain institutions to secure employment. If you work in a government sector, you might encounter this. Moving a file from desk to desk often requires a bribe. This is not honesty; this is a crime. You may not realize that those providing money to meet your demands might have sold their precious belongings to fulfill your desires. This is dishonesty in your profession. Are you one of these people? Ask yourself.

Are You Honest About Your Relationships?

I know very few people will openly discuss this, and only a handful will confidently declare that they are honest in their relationships. For these individuals, love still holds meaning in this changing world.

In our childhood, we always learned that honesty is the best policy. The word ‘honesty’ means being truthful about everything. It means being honest in your daily life, your work, with your family, with your religion, and in your relationships. Honesty is closely related to trust. Trust is precious, like a glass that can break if it falls on a hard surface.

Just like that, honesty is based on trust. If you break trust, you cannot be considered an honest person. There is no difference between honesty and trustworthy loyalty. The definition of honesty was the same a hundred years ago, and it will remain the same a hundred years from now. If you promise something, you must have the ability to keep that promise. That's honesty. If you find money or a precious item that does not belong to you, you should return it to the owner, not use it for your own purposes. That's honesty.

In our modern civilization, honesty is one of the most precious yet most disregarded qualities. We are in desperate need of honest people. Look around, and you may see people who are unworthy of their positions. You trust them, but they disrespect your trust and display dishonesty. Beware of such people, as they have no qualms about betraying you for their own benefit.

We live in an ultra-tech world. While it has provided us with more comforts, it has also eroded human morality, and honesty is one of the casualties.
We need trust. We need to restore our belief in humanity. To all our brothers and sisters in this world, please stop misleading others. Otherwise, one day, someone will mislead you. Honesty can transform a person from within. Everything that is good for the human race begins with honesty. This symbol of excellence can solve our modern-day problems in an instant.
