The great Turkish commander Enver Pasha was martyred exactly 101 years ago, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, on August 4, 1922, by using his chest as a shield against the Russian machine gun. Enver Pasha's struggle for freedom, which started in the Tikveş mountains of Macedonia, continued with the First World War, especially the Çanakkale Victory, where he became the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Ottoman armies and the Minister of War, and after the war, he traveled to Central Asia, especially from the Turks, where he organized local warriors against the Soviet Red Army.
It ended with the Basmachi Operation. Enver Pasha, one of the most important figures of the late Ottoman Empire, served as the commander of the 3rd Army and the Caucasus Islamic Army. He was among the important leaders of the Committee of Union and Progress, brought the society to power with the military coup called the Bâb-ı Âli Raid in 1913, pioneered the military alliance with Germany in 1914, and managed military policy as Minister of War and Deputy Commander-in-Chief during the war years.
After Enver Bey got the members of the Committee of Union and Progress to accept the idea of waging a guerrilla war against the Italians, he set out to go to the region with names such as Kolağası Mustafa Kemal Bey and Paris Attaché Major Fethi (Okyar) Bey. He set out on a ship from Istanbul on September 25, 1911. Because he was on an undercover mission, he first traveled disguised as a doctor and then as a Syrian merchant.

He reached Alexandria on October 15, 1911, and from there, after a very difficult journey on camel, he went to Tripoli on October 22, 1911. He led the forces in Benghazi and Derna; With the prestige he gained from being the son-in-law of the dynasty, he managed to mobilize 20 thousand people and dominated the region by minting money in his name.

At the end of a year-long struggle, he left the region on 25 November 1912, as he was summoned to Istanbul with other Turkish officers upon the start of the Balkan War. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 1912 due to his successful fight against Italian forces.
