After a series of unconfirmed rumors about tokenomics, Hamster Kombat has released a new whitepaper claiming to allocate 60% of the airdrop to players.

In an effort to clarify recent "misleading" information surrounding its airdrop event, the team behind the Tap-to-Earn Telegram game Hamster Kombat has released a new whitepaper with details regarding the project's tokenomics.

Accordingly, the project team announced that it would allocate 60% of the airdrop exclusively to players, claiming that "this will be the largest airdrop event in the history of cryptocurrencies". The remaining 40% will be allocated to liquidity provision, partnerships, ecosystem support rewards, and other items.

Hamster Kombat's whitepaper also states that "the project is not funded or supported by venture capital firms in the crypto space, so there is no pressure to sell tokens" that would affect the economic system. The team explains that "Hamster Kombat is already a profitable business, and there is no need to sell tokens."

In addition to announcing tokenomics, Hamster Kombat also announced new upgrades to attract more players and a future season 2 airdrop.

Hamster Kombat is a Web3 game played directly on Telegram, which has emerged thanks to its extremely idle profit-making mechanism through a simple Tap-to-Earn mechanism. Players simply tap the mouse in the app and complete the required tasks to receive in-game token points as a redemption criterion or receive HMSTR tokens when the airdrop event takes place later - similar to games like PixelTap, BeraSig, or Binance Launchpool's 54th Notcoin (NOT).

Hamster Kombat has emerged as an interesting and mysterious phenomenon in the crypto world. The anonymous founders seem to have built the project in an extremely short period of time, but have quickly acquired a "huge" community of players eager to earn token rewards through the game developed on the The Open Network (TON) blockchain.

Despite its rather boring gameplay, the game still has a strong fan base. The developers said the game currently has 50 million daily active users in 190 countries with a cumulative number of 300 million players, while the total number of Telegram users is 900 million.

Many people also associate the current state of Hamster Kombat with the once-popular game Axie Infinity, which once “pocketed” players $1,300 per month, a significant amount of money for people in developing countries.

However, recently the project has encountered unexpected troubles from the Iranian government and its community of 300 million players:

Iranian officials believe that this is a “soft power” tool of the West to distract people from the country’s presidential election in June 2024.

The gaming community expressed anger and disappointment when information about tokenomics was leaked by an unverified source, in which it was announced that Hamster Kombat only allocated 1% of the total supply of 10 billion HMSTR to airdrop to users. With 300 million participants, 100 million tokens divided equally, each user only received about 0.4 HMSTR.

Recently, OKX exchange also "caught the trend" of Tap-to-Earn when launching a game application on Telegram, allowing users to guess the price of Bitcoin in just 5 seconds.
