Liquid Re-Staking ETH Pool and Airdrop Opportunity
After a lot of competition between liquid staking markets, a new innovation has emerged, namely Ethereum re-staking, where the originator is Eigen Layer, but the slots opened at the eigen layer are very limited, and the demand is very large. It is very difficult to get a re-stake allocation from the eigen layer, especially for retailers. On the other hand, several new protocols have emerged to solve this problem.
What is EigenLayer?
EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces the concept of restaking. Users (stakers) staking on ETH natively or using liquid staking tokens (LST) can choose to use EigenLayer smart contracts for restaking on ETH or LST (such as Lido stETH, Rocket Pool rETH, Coinbase cbETH). Stakers delegate their stake to operators who then perform tasks to validate services that have been actively validated by others (AVSs) such as L2s, bridges, shared sequencers, and data availability services built on top of EigenLayer. Stakers receive rewards from AVSs through their operators who perform tasks..
Astrid Finance
Astrid Finance is a liquid staking pool on Ethereum powered by EigenLayer. Users deposit LST (such as stETH, rETH, or cbETH) into the liquid staking pool and receive Astrid liquid staking tokens or LRTs (rstETH, rrETH, or rcbETH). The merged LRTs will be staked back in the EigenLayer and delegated to some operator chosen by the Astrid DAO. The rewards earned will be restaked (staked back to the EigenLayer) and distributed through balance adjustments, where users holding LRT will see their balances adjusted automatically.
By using Astrid for restaking, users can gain instant liquidity for their restaking positions by receiving liquid re-staking tokens (LRT). Users can trade, transfer and utilise their LRT to maximise rewards through the DeFi protocol while continuing to accumulate rewards on the EigenLayer. By aggregating LST and delegating it to multiple operators on the EigenLayer, Astrid provides diversification to users, as opposed to users restaking independently and delegating stakes to only one operator, while having to constantly monitor performance and choose which operator to use.
How Astrid works
Users deposit LST to get LRT, then the LST is delegated and restaked on the EigenLayer by Astrid. The rewards received from operators are compounded and spread to LRT holders through daily rebases. Users can apply for withdrawal from the staking pool and wait for queue handling. In situations of liquidity shortage, Astrid delegators will withdraw funds from operators in the EigenLayer. The withdrawal process may take a few days on the mainnet due to EigenLayer protocol rules.
Airdrop/Reward Opportunities
Restaked Astrid points are a measure of your staking participation equivalent to the amount of time integrated from staking. For example, a user who staked 1 stETH for 10 days should have accumulated 240 points during this time period (1 ETH × 10 days × 24 hours/day = 240 Points).
On the mainnet, you can also get a 2.5x increase in your points if you provide liquidity to one of the corresponding LST/LRT pools: Liquidity Pool (Mainnet). From the example above, a user who staked 1 stETH for 10 days and added the resulting 1 rstETH to the rstETH/stETH pool should have accumulated 600 points during this time period (240 points × 2.5).
For points you can get them by depositing via testnet as well as mainnet, but will get more points from mainnet.
Defi Tutorial
you can visit the astrid finance website first
Testnet (Goerli): testnet.astrid.finance
Mainnet: app.astrid.finance
After you enter the Astrid re-staking application, the steps are quite easy, you only need to prepare LSTs such as rETH, stETH, cbETH to re-stake with Astrid and then click deposit.
After making a deposit, your reward will be calculated and added every day through the addition of the number of LRT (Liquid Re-staking Token). If you want to withdraw your balance/unstake, you can select unstake and wait for the claim process in the claim section.
THINGS THAT MUST BE CONSIDERED !!!
Because Astrid is still very early mainnet, so for liquidity on DEX is still very small, if you want to unstake quickly, try not to swap on DEX, you can choose the unstake option to redeem full 1: 1 from the smart contract.
