For security, backup the authenticator.

As you know, in the Crypto market and many different applications, we carry out certain security verifications to keep our account safe. Two-step security verification, identity verification, SMS verification, e-mail verification are some of them. In addition, we also activate the Google #Authenticator application to fully ensure the security of our accounts.

Google Authenticator is a security step that generates a unique code every 30 seconds and without which we cannot perform our transactions. A security app that blocks unauthorized access to accounts.

So have you ever thought about it? How will we access our Authenticator codes if our phone breaks down, is lost, or becomes completely unusable? Many sites help users in these situations and deactivate #Google Authenticator verification from your account after confirming the necessary personal information. However, this process may sometimes exceed 1 month. So what can we do?

Here's what you need to manually transfer Authenticator codes to a new phone

  • Your device with Google Authenticator codes
  • The latest version of the Google Authenticator app on your phone
  • Your device to backup

To backup your account, follow these 3 steps with a spare or trusted phone.
  1. After entering the application, click on the 3 lines in the upper left corner and click the "Transfer Accounts" button.
  2. On the page that opens, click the "Export accounts" button. Click on "Import accounts" with your spare phone. Of course, for this process, you need to download the Google Authenticator application to your backup phone. If you do not have a spare phone, you can back it up to the phone of someone in your family or circle of friends you trust.
  3. Then you need to complete your QR Code process. Scan the QR Code opened on your phone with the camera opened on the phone from which you want to import the data. That's all the process.

Now, in case your phone loses its functionality or is lost, you will have a backup of your Google Authenticator information stored on another phone.

In addition, do not forget to connect and integrate your Google account with Authenticator. You will need this process to view your codes when you log in to the Authenticator application on another phone to your Google account.
