I struggled with this for 8 months
I struggled with this for 8 months.
I've learnt that if you have to stand out, you have to be known for something.
And that's what I'm finally doing I've decided to niche down in writing(Copywriting & Content writing) in the blockchain industry.
Niching down has been a struggle for me. I've had to write topics in different niches and nah it's wasn't so funny but it has been enjoyable because I always learn something new.
I was freaking out in a good way while writing this postβ¦I've been postponing it but I'm dropping it today It all started in January last year, when I got a course on copywriting and content writing and I get so excited telling people about itπ Didn't know what or who I intended to serve after taking my first course on writing but I was just continuously writing.
In January, I wrote about skin care. I was more focused on skincare and was always on YouTube trying to get information about how the skin worked and what our skin could react to.
In February, I was still researching and writing about skincare. I guess that's why I'm so attracted to beautiful skin.
In March, I wasn't writing on any topic because I wasn't encouraged or let's say I didn't know what topic to write on April, nothing. Just writing randomly and creating contents on LinkedIn In May, I decided to write about real estate and I remember when I was following real estate companies on Twitter, Instagram and even on LinkedIn.
Got tired and dropped it but it was a fun experience though. I learnt alot and connected with people too In July, I started researching finance industries and companies and how I could be of help. After much research, I finally wrote a social media copy for a financial company I've always had eyes for on Instagram but I left in my google doc.π
In August(the sweet part), I started learning about blockchain technology. It's still funny how I accepted to do this because this came as a suggestion. Blockchain hasn't been on my list but now it is. Been studying it since August till now.
How has it been? My blockchain study isn't all sweet because most days I understand what I'm learning and most days I don't. The learning process hasn't been easy but I love it because I've started. Big shoutout to Nnaekezie chinonso for holding my hands at the start of my journey.
So now you can call me a Blockchain writer, soon to be a baddie. I'm not your regular writer any moreπ
Open to recommendations on how to get better in the blockchain industry.
PS: I'm accepting congratulations Thank youβ€
