Chromatic Testnet - Definitely Worth to Check it Out

What is Chromatic ?

Although the Chromatic protocol seems to be a classical dex that you can open long-short, it is actually much more. It is the first protocol to introduce the concept of partitioned LP with dynamic fees. Built on the Arbitrum network, the chromatic protocol is open source, cencorship resistant, user friendly perpetual futures protocol that enables the creation and trading of futures markets exposed to price feeds provided by an oracle. They differ from classical dexes and bring many innovations to the sector such as Underlying Index, Settlement Token and Partitioned LP. So how can we positioned?

Testnet Interactions

The first thing we need to do is interact with the protocol's testnet.

For security reasons, I recommend that you always interact with a burner wallet in testnet protocols.

• Add Arbitrum Sepolia Network to your wallet
• Fuel your wallet with Arbitrum Sepolia Ethereum from Bware Labs but since there are daily limits, faucet may run out most of the time. In such cases, I get Sepolia Ethereum from Sepolia Faucet and bridge it to Arbitrum via Arbitrum Bridge.
• Navigate to Chromatic Testnet Dapp.
• You should hit the Create Account button, and setup your account.

• Click on the faucet button which is on the left of Create Account button.
• Receive cETH and cBTC.

• Sometimes there may be a problem due to overload in the faucets. In such cases, you can try the faucet channel on their Discord.
• Then deposit some cETH. What you need to pay attention to here is that you can open a long or short with at least 10 cETH. And you can use faucet every 24 hours. So be careful not to be stingy :)

• Now let's trade as short or long. Do these procedures every day.
  1. Select quantity,
  2. Select leverage,
  3. Select Take Profit and Stop Loss levels.
  4. Click the Buy button and give approval from the wallet. The position will fall to the bottom. You can turn it off and on again, try to make some volume.

• Log in every day and press the Check In button.

Social Interactions

1. Do Zealy tasks to earn points and convert your points from the Airdrop page. The wallet you use Zealy and the wallet you use Chromatic testnet must be the same to convert points.
