Word of the day - Week 8 2024

Each week I post a summary of words that have been lingering around in my prayers, meditations, thoughts, interactions, etc. Posting these words helps me to set specific intentions, reflect on different topics, and connect with my inner knowing on a deeper level. I explain what each word meant to me in that specific week. With these posts, I want to encourage others to be more aware of their thoughts and feelings, and to put more intent into their lives by reflecting (and possibly) writing about their experiences. I am hoping the intentional art of writing will be brought to everyone. Writing has changed my life in many different ways. I wish for you the same 🪷

A medium busy, but very interesting week. I've been working to put myself and my art more out there. The more I do so, the more great things meet me along the way.

Indulge
Illumination

Consider

The words of last week brought me a bit closer to topics related to being and staying in the presence, pleasure, the power of self awareness, truth, life, birth and consideration.


I was looking for a synonym for the word 'surrender', and I stumbled upon 'indulge'. The word spoke to me in the context of allowing yourself and surrendering to your need for pleasure. Whatever form, indulging yourself into a balanced amount of things making you feel good and alive, is a very healthy way of living. I repeat balanced, because in the world we now live in, seeking, enjoying and indulging into pleasurable things is very easy. Find the balance and allow yourself to indulge 💛

The ability to illuminate yourself is the best method towards self awareness. Its the power you can give yourself, shedding light on all parts of yourself. Even the parts no one ever gets to see. Self illumination helps to take charge and ownership of your life, by letting you be fully aware of who you are. No one can ever tell you who you are, when you have illuminated all parts of yourself 🌕

Verity was also the result of a synonym search for the word ‘truth’. Being able to live your verity is a practice of speaking your truth, speaking out your vulnerability, speaking your true being in any form possible 🏵️

The birth of life, new life, new cycles, new versions, new patterns, new being, new you, new birth🧬

Finding the balance between being considerate about others’ voice, perspectives and experiences AND finally being able and courage enough to state your own voice, perspective and experience. Consider that people act from their place or point of view in life. Everyone does, even you 💭
