The HOBBIT
The films are free screen adaptations of Tolkien's novel The Hobbit, or There and Back. They tell us about the adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins and thirteen dwarves on the way to the Lonely Mountain, and are also recognized as a prequel to the film trilogy "The Lord of the Rings". The films of the "Hobbit" trilogy were received by critics cooler than "The Lord of the Rings", which collected a number of significant awards of world cinema. However, the audience received the films warmly: the ratings of the films of the trilogy on the largest Russian-language film resource "Kinopoysk" averaged 8 out of 10 (8.1 in the first part, 8.0 in the second and 7.9 in the third).

The world premiere of the film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" took place on November 28, 2012 in Wellington, New Zealand. The film was released in New Zealand on December 12, in the UK on December 13, and in the USA on December 14.
"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"

The plot of the film tells about the new adventures of the dwarves, the wizard Gandalf the Gray and the hobbit Bilbo, who, having crossed the mountains, escape from the orcs pursuing them (led by the terrible Bolg) in Beorn. Successfully escorting the dwarves and the hobbit to the north, the wizard goes to the fortress of Dol Guldur, where he encounters the Necromancer, who turns out to be none other than Sauron, and meanwhile the dwarves and Bilbo are lost in the Wicked Forest. There they fight giant spiders, and then are captured by Thranduil's elves. Thanks to Bilbo's resourcefulness, everyone manages to escape from the dungeon and reach the lake city of Esgaroth.
After many hardships, the dwarves finally reach Erebor, their former kingdom. Bilbo penetrates into the caves of the Lonely Mountain, where the dragon Smaug guards untold riches. The magic ring helps the hobbit escape from the dragon.
"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies"

Smaug flies to the Lake City, and a huge army of orcs under the command of Azog approaches, and soon the Battle of the Five Armies will break out.
