The Inclusive World Of WEB3
WEB3, as well as trading have been the primary focus of this blog for several years. Trading is an activity I have always been passionate about, even before Crypto, and WEB3 is the future. DeFi, DePINSocialFi, RWA, NFTs… the list goes on. WEB3 is a wealth of opportunity, and those who are keeping up with this innovation, and leveraging it to their advantage will benefit in time.
Recently, I addressed the Peaq Network, a DePIN-focused layer 1 blockchain built on Polkadot. One of the projects built on Peaq is Silencio, which maps noise pollution and translates it into valuable data. There’s that word again…

Data

The Currency Of the Future! A currency that has multiple expressions and is easily translated. Silencio collects noise data via its DePIN and is then able to provide valuable insights, which up until now, were unavailable. For example, you are on the road and need a quiet Airbnb. Silencio can map and point out quiet areas and jurisdictions. There are so many ways that this type of information can be incredibly handy, and even valuable, especially for more important and long-term decisions.

Are you looking to buy a new home? Imagine having access to the noise levels of your prospective home’s surroundings. These finer details are so vital. However, it’s not the type of information a real estate agent can accurately provide, even if they could. Silencio has multiple use cases, regarding the mapping of noise pollution, in favor of silence. The Silencio app is available for anyone to use, and users can earn Noise Coins for recording and mapping the noise levels of their surroundings.

Noise Coin holders will later receive the official SLC token when it launches. However, in the meantime, Silencio users can earn Noise Coins by simply recording noise levels via the app. Users will earn 1 Noise Coin for every 2 minutes recorded. Open Measurements can be recorded anywhere, even indoors. However, earning rates are higher outdoors, as the data is more relevant. Provided a venue is identified as a Venue Check-in, the reward rate increases.
Anyone looking to try Silencio can use this link with the code: CoinCollector. Users can begin recording and mapping noise levels once the app is installed and verified via an email code. There is no minimum recording time. However, users cannot record Measurements that exceed 30-minute sessions.
Silencio is a rather unique DePIN project compared to other more common DePIN use cases. This element eradicates competition and promotes a favorable outcome for Silencio, provided the team does well. Building on Peaq is also a positive aspect, and I am looking forward to what Silencio has to offer in the coming months. The launch and airdropping of the SLC token is an important development to track.

Final Thoughts
Silencio offers a viable service that can be leveraged and utilized in multiple ways. It’s one I am keeping an eye on, as well as mining some Noise Coins every so often. DePIN remains a hot sector and I will be looking at several Peaq projects over the next few weeks or so. Anyway, enjoy your weekend, keep stacking those sats, and I will see you in the next one!
