What is a tumor and cancer?
How the tumor is formed?
Old or damaged cells in our body die and are replaced by new and healthy cells. If this cell balance and death is disturbed, tumor cells are formed. A tumor is an abnormal growth of tissues in a certain area as a result of excessive division of cells. Cell growth and proliferation proto-oncogenes and tumor the activities of repressive genes it is regulated by. In the repair of DNA damage the genes that are responsible mutation, cancer formation provides. Normal cells, growth stimulant and the balance of signals restricting growth is tight it is somehow kept under control.This control in tumor cells the mechanism is broken.
I. Continuous cell proliferation is triggered
II. Differentiation may disappear
III. Apoptosis is not regulated
Types of tumors;
1.Malignant tumor: This is a type of tumor, also known as cancer.Malignant tumors can invade surrounding tissues and metastasize to distant organs, that is, they can spread to other parts of the body.The treatment of malignant tumors usually includes surgical intervention, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other treatment methods.
2.Benign tumor: This is a type of tumor that occurs as a result of uncontrolled growth and proliferation of normal cells, but unlike a malignant tumor, it is non-invasive, that is, it does not migrate to another area of the body. Benign tumors usually do not damage the surrounding tissues and are usually limited to a capsule from which they can be removed by surgical intervention. Such tumors are usually not associated with cancer and in most cases do not pose a serious threat to he alth.
