As the countdown begins for the second and final lunar eclipse of this year, the moon will appear brighter and larger during the eclipse. The lunar eclipse is expected to start at 05:15 on September 18 and end at 06:16. The lunar eclipse will be visible in countries in the northern hemisphere, including Turkey.

The lunar eclipse, the last celestial event of the year, will be seen in three cosmic events: Super Moon, Blood Moon and Partial lunar eclipse. The total lunar eclipse will last 4 hours and 6 minutes, while the partial lunar eclipse will last close to 1 hour. During the lunar eclipse, 8 percent of the lunar orbit will pass through the Earth's shadow.

WHEN AND WHAT TIME IS THE LUNAR ECLIPSE?

The lunar eclipse will start on September 18, 2024 at 05.15 am Turkey time and end at 06.16 am.

The lunar eclipse will be a partial lunar eclipse.

A partial lunar eclipse occurs when a portion of the lunar disk passes into the Earth's penumbra, a cone of partial shadow. It is a celestial event that can be observed with the naked eye. Since the Moon will enter the partial cone of shadow, its brightness will not decrease.

WILL THE SEPTEMBER 18 LUNAR ECLIPSE BE VISIBLE FROM TURKEY?

The lunar eclipse will be visible in the Americas, Antarctica, Africa, Europe, Western Asia and southwestern Russia, as well as Turkey.

WHAT DOES A LUNAR ECLIPSE MEAN IN ASTROLOGY?

Full moons offer the perfect opportunity to tune into meditation, to recharge your crystals. During this period, you may find that deep breathing or yoga classes help you manage the energy of the moment, but unlike normal full moons, lunar eclipses only happen about twice a year and the astrology of lunar eclipses evokes vibrations much more intense than the energy of an average full moon.

WHAT IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE?

Lunar eclipses occur when the moon is full. Because the Earth is directly between the moon and the sun, lunar eclipses occur when the Earth casts its shadow on the moon, reducing its light and producing a red tint that usually lasts for several hours. There are three types of lunar eclipse:

Total lunar eclipse: This occurs when the Moon moves toward the inner part of the Earth's shadow. During this time, the moon may appear red in the Earth's atmosphere Partial lunar eclipse:

When the Sun, Earth and Moon are not perfectly aligned and the Moon passes through part of the Earth's shadow, a shadow is cast that does not completely cover the Moon; this is called a partial lunar eclipse. Partial lunar eclipse:

The faintest lunar eclipse, in which the Moon passes through the Earth's penumbra, the faint outer shadow, resulting in a very small portion of the Moon being dimmed.
