So first let us know the definition of mouse -

-> What is Mouse? :-

Mouse is an input device, which helps in using the computer. And which is used for opening, closing files on the computer screen, moving them from one place to another, and selecting applications, controlling players in gaming, scrolling on web pages. And because of this, Mouse is also called Pointing Device.

The full name of mouse is Manually Operated Utility For Selecting Equipment.

-> Types of Mouse :-

See friends, after the first mouse was invented, many changes were made in the physical shape of the mouse. And in this time the mouse has also become stylish. According to the physical shape of the mouse, many different types of mouse are available in the market today and some of those types are very famous today. It is described below-

1.Wired Mouse/Optical Mouse :-

In modern times, the most famous type of mouse is Wired Mouse/Optical Mouse. This mouse is used everywhere. This mouse works on LED – Light Emitting Diode and DSP – Digital Signal Processing technology. This Optical Mouse is also called USB Mouse.

2.Wireless Mouse :-

This mouse does not have any kind of wire to connect to the computer, hence this mouse is called Cordless mouse or Wireless Mouse.

The design of this mouse is similar to that of an optical mouse. This mouse also works in the same way as an optical mouse works. The only difference between a wireless mouse and an optical mouse is that a wireless mouse connects to the computer without a wire and on the other hand an optical mouse connects to the computer only through a wire.

A USB receiver is provided with the wireless mouse. You can use this mouse by installing that USB Receiver in any USB port present in the computer. In today's time the use of this mouse has increased a lot.

3.Ball/Mechanical Mouse :-

After this, the next type of mouse is mechanical mouse. This mouse is also called ball mouse. This mouse uses a ball to give instructions to the computer, hence this mouse is called Ball Mouse. The work that LEDs do in an optical mouse is done by the ball in a mechanical mouse. Meaning, the work of controlling the cursor/pointer of the mouse is done by LED in optical mouse and Ball in mechanical mouse.

4.Vertical Mouse :-

The type of mouse that comes after this is vertical mouse. This mouse has been designed keeping human comfort in mind. Whatever button is there in a normal mouse, it also has the same button. But its design is not like a normal mouse, it is of a different type. Looks something like this –

5.Touchpad Mouse :-

There is nothing to say about touchpad because we all know about touchpad. Touchpads are used in laptops. By touching that pad in the laptop, we control the cursor\pointer and below it there are left buttons and right buttons. And that mouse itself is called Touchpad mouse.

6.Gaming Mouse :-

Gaming Mouse is similar to an Optical Mouse. Optical Mouse comes with Normal Facility, meaning it has only two buttons and one scrolling. But extra facility is present in Gaming Mouse as compared to Optical mouse. Meaning, it has two buttons and one scrolling button and along with it there are other buttons like Thumb buttons, DPI button etc. , At present all Gaming Mouse is coming with RGB light. Due to RGB light, this mouse looks even more fascinating.

7.Trackball Mouse :-

Trackball Mouse also works like an optical mouse. The only difference between this mouse and optical mouse is that in optical mouse you have to move the mouse to move the cursor from one place to another. And on the other hand, in trackball mouse, you do not have to move the mouse to move the cursor from one place to another. Because this mouse has a ball, the cursor can be moved from one place to another by rotating that ball.

8.Joystick Mouse :-

Joystick Mouse is a type of computer mouse. And it has a joystick-like control, which you can turn up, down, left and right, thereby changing the location of the cursor on the computer screen. A joystick mouse is very helpful when you are doing gaming or graphics designing jobs where you need control at the pixel level.

9.Stylus Mouse :-

A Stylus Mouse is an input device designed for writing and drawing on a computer or tablet screen. It is like a pen which has sensitive specialized nickles, through which the sensitivity of the screen can be given with the special sensing system.
