AI gets a lot of hype, but let's see its prediction capabilities when its paired with Zeta.

If you’re in the crypto space then you’re no stranger to interesting tech. MEV bots make bank and the launch of chatGPT set off a whole new wave of AI-tagged shitcoins. So in the interests of some fun, we thought we’d jump into AI-based trading in the laziest way possible.

How do we do this? By getting GROK to give us some tips, perp trading on Zeta Markets (our platform of choice) with their advice and then writing about it. It goes without saying that this is most certainly not cutting-edge technology and you should definitely not try this at home.

The Rules

There’s no reinventing the wheel with this one which is great because it makes the rules nice and simple. As in, there really aren’t any rules. We do however need to start with a few things.

So, we start with $100. With Zeta giving up to 20x leverage, this gives us plenty of trading potential to play with. It’ll also help us earn points which we can use to get ZEX tokens at the end of the epoch.

We take the tips as presented and trade on them, with no human input, going either short or long depending on the instructions. In the interests of not losing everything early, we won’t go too heavy on leverage as that gives us a little breathing room when dealing with price movements.

So, all in all pretty straightforward right? We’ll see.

Just Trader Things

It should go without saying, that this is just a bit of fun and should give something interesting to write about. But for perp trading on SOL, Zeta is no joke.

Aiming to provide all the benefits of a centralised exchange while remaining decentralised, the Zeta team is building at rapid speeds capitalising on momentum gained during this year's Breakpoint conference.

Underpinning this development is Zeta X, which aims to provide even more reason to get your perp on, by dealing with several issues to make for a more friendly user experience.

This means that after Zeta X has been launched, users can expect an improvement in transaction speeds, with fewer dropped transactions as well as gas-free trading.
There’s also an increased focus on security, with ZKproofs used on-platform as well as a renewed focus on self custody for user funds.

There are two interesting things to note in this tweet. Firstly, the private testnet launches this quarter and the Zeta crew is looking for users to help stress test the network. If you’re interested in this, connect with the team via TG or Discord to gain access.

The big news for traders though, is that Zeta X promises more leverage in the future. Up to 100x in some circumstances. Now you can really get your Degen on.
