Under the circumstances, two plausible reasons emerge:

Firstly, it's plausible that ghosts simply don't exist, with reported encounters being attributed to psychology and misperceptions. According to psychological theories, sightings may stem from hallucinations or unconscious perceptions.

Alternatively, there may be an alternative explanation for the absence of substantial evidence—perhaps the tools and methodologies employed by ghost hunters are insufficient or lacking the scientific rigor required to substantiate their claims.

However, the absence of concrete evidence does not diminish the allure of ghostly tales. While scientific advancements have shed doubt on their existence, the thrill of a good ghost story endures.

A Christmas Carol is a timeless Christmas ghost story. It follows the tale of the wealthy Ebenezer Scrooge, whose sole passion in life is money. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who offer guidance to three former residents of the town, known as the "3 Ss'", who are still alive.

The Ghost of Christmas Past reveals Scrooge's carefree and joyful youth, while the Ghost of Christmas Present shows him how his family and employees perceive him. Lastly, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come foretells his eventual demise.

Upon awakening on Christmas Day, Scrooge undergoes a profound transformation. His newfound warmth and generosity set off a chain of events that shape his future.

Ghostbusters

The latest installment in the Ghostbusters franchise features four female leads. Among them are two physicists, an engineer, and a professor. Together, they join forces to thwart a malevolent scheme that threatens New York City: the opening of a portal to an otherworldly dimension and the summoning of an undead army.

Ultimately, the film underscores the idea that life is meant to be embraced with enthusiasm, regardless of its challenges. While I'm not particularly skittish about scary movies, some of these tales can certainly send shivers down your spine.
