Are there any good Anime blogs?

TLDR: any up-to-date anime bloggers for someone who liked Tatami Galaxy, Denno Coil, Ping Pong, ect
The way I like to enjoy anime is to binge watch a bunch of serise in a row for a couple of months and then not watch any for another three years. I do not stay up-to-date. Now that I'm back I've been googling around to find my next show and in the past I'd revisit some of the same trusted blog to see what's been good. Those blogs seem to have all disappeared and been replaced by bigger companies whose anime opinions I don't trust. Are there any sites y'all look to to find your shows? Are blogs just dead now? I'm pretty sure I would have never would have finally watched Madoka Magica without seeing it sandwiched between Denno Coil and Tatami Galaxy on a site that trusted and I just dont have that faith in IGN...
