I don't know about you, but there's nothing quite like a good conference to get me excited about the web3 and crypto industry. With so many options around the world, it can get a little overwhelming paying for tickets to a large number of amazing events. Below, you'll find three ways to get your ticket price slashed - or even downright eliminated.

CoinGecko "Candies" Discount

If you've been following my writings for any amount of time, you probably remember me mentioning collecting CoinGecko's "candies" each day to use for various opportunities like Learn & Earns and Airdrops. Another option is to save up your candies for discounts - or even free tickets - to various crypto conferences. At the time of writing, CoinGecko users can redeem candies for a free virtual pass to CoinGecko's own conference (in person passes were also available but are now sold out), or for a 50% discount for in-person VIP passes. There's also currently an offer for 15% off TOKEN2049 in Singapore, too. In the past, other offers have included discounts to Permissionless, Consensus, and Thailand Blockchain Week.

TaskOn Tier NFT Perks

TaskOn is a relatively new web3 engagement and reward platform, similar to quest communities like Galxe. Users who participate regularly earn tiered NFTs, which then unlock various offers from TaskOn collaborators. Currently, there are no active discounts for conferences on TaskOn, but in the past they've included events such as Permissionless, Malaysia Blockchain Week, TOKEN2049, and many more.

Volunteer

Many conferences look for volunteers to help support their staff during the event. For instance, the North American Blockchain Summit is actively recruiting volunteers for their event this November. Be sure to keep an eye on your local conferences to see if there are any opportunities for you to help out...and get yourself through the door.

Summary

Are there any other tips or tricks you use to save money on your trips to crypto conferences? If so, I'd love to hear about them - affiliate links are always welcome in my comments.
