Multilevel Marketing (MLM), a business model for teams.

More and more people are deciding to participate in businesses that require relatively little training and a low level of investment in many cases, allowing them to work from home or run them part-time and that these generate income to cover their economic needs partially or totally. One of the categories of this type of business model is multilevel marketing (MLM), also called network marketing, direct marketing business or direct selling.

With the increase of scams that are generated using ponzi schemes, it is very common that there are people who confuse multilevel marketing with this type of fraud because its structure is also pyramidal. The main difference is that in ponzi schemes (also known as pyramid schemes) there are no products or services, many times they focus on something illicit, the income is generated only by recruiting other investors, who are the ones who with their entry fee pay the oldest ones in the network. I was going to use the expression "...the never ending story...", but it would be incorrect, the "story" ends when new investors stop coming in, the money collected is finished and/or the creators of the scam steal all the money.

MLM Benefits (Simplified):

✔ Global market (infinite).
✔ Residual income.
✔ Duplicable business.
✔ Small investment.
✔ It is an inheritable business.

MLM is something else entirely, these business models consist of selling products from the catalog of the company to which they are affiliated to different consumers in the market and recruiting others to do the same. In these there are different types of guarantees (including return guarantees) and they comply with the regulations of those regions or countries in which they operate.

One of the most important characteristics of the Multilevel Marketing business model is that they offer an initial investment scheme that can be accessible to all people and that in a general sense makes it possible to generate a decent active and passive income for investors. In my very personal opinion, taking into account the times of crisis in which we find ourselves, they can be a very timely alternative to reduce or face unemployment.

As an MLM consultant, contractor or distributor (each company calls it in a different way), you earn your money by selling products to other members of an MLM. Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a legitimate business practice, the model involves the sale of actual goods or services. These network distribution schemes are marketing plans that involve recruiting members to move up levels in the organization, participants sell products to the general public and receive commissions from both their own sales and those they have recruited. It is using a network of independent distributors to market a consumer good. Remember to always do thorough research on where and with whom you intend to invest, fraudulent pyramid schemes, such as Ponzi schemes, usually attempt to mask themselves as an MLM scheme.

In an MLM business generally the more you work the more you earn and the commission or percentage of profit is proportional to what you are able to sell to your customers and the performance of your marketing network, the more extensive or deeper the network the better the compensation will be. The business relies on unsalaried labor to sell your products and/or services, in a pyramidal commission system. Promoters receive a commission for the sale of products, and they also receive a commission for the sales made by their recruits. Thus, a multilevel marketing (MLM) compensation plan is structured so that individuals receive multiple levels of commissions each time they make individual sales, and commissions depend on the overall volume of sales generated.
