Cryptocurrency can be risky due to market volatility and lack of regulation. Use reputable platforms, avoid emotional trading, and only invest what you can afford to lose. Be cautious and remember, not your keys, not your crypto.

For Solana fans, Breakpoint is one of the hottest conventions of the year. It’s the place where like-minded projects and people can get together, promote their projects and stay informed about what’s been happening in the world of Solana and Web 3. Prior to this year's Breakpoint, we did a few articles on some of the projects that caught some interest in the space, and with the event concluded, it’s time to take a look at a few of the highlights and big news from the event. Let’s go!

Solana Mobile

Some of the hottest news to come out of the event was the announcement of a new Solana Mobile. Taking the original Saga concept and refining it, the new device is known as the Seeker and will come with its own Genesis NFT just like the original Saga did. Scheduled for release in 2025, the Seeker has already generated significant hype. Preorder yours now

Zeta Markets

The best perp trading platform on SOL, Zeta had plenty to contribute with updates on their plans for their L2 “Bullet” receiving significant airtime. Co-founder Tristan Frizza also delivered a keynote speech breaking down their plans while also highlighting some of the growth that’s been seen in the space recently.

With strong community support, the Zeta team is making significant inroads into delivering a fast, user-friendly and scalable trading platform. ZEX stakers weren’t forgotten either as they’ll be some of the first to experience the new platform once it’s gone live in Q4. Check out Zeta Markets.

Jupiter Exchange

Another event highlight had to be some of the announcements that were delivered by Jupiter Exchange. While delivering updates to perps, the LFG voting process and the Jupiter API were some pretty great news on their own, the team then went one further by announcing further changes to their web-based trading app.

The highlight news though would have to be the announcement of a Jupiter-based mobile app. This opens up Solana and Web 3 to new markets and provides an opportunity to help onboard a non-crypto-focused crowd. With De-Fi providers like MarginFi also planning on delivering mobile apps, the Solana ecosystem in general is taking steps toward engaging a non-crypto audience which is great to see. Rosen Bridge

Rosen co-founder Stella Zheng gave a great Breakpoint presentation, helping attendees discover the Rosen Bridge and Circle wallets.

Rosen also ran a stable coin promotion where Breakpoint attendees could spin the wheel in-app, and take away their share of a Breakpoint prize pool.

Not just a metaverse, Rosen has some great features like natural language translation and an ambassador support team helping you to get the best from your Rosen experience. We’ll be exploring their Breakpoint presentation in greater detail in an article that's scheduled for release this week.

FireDancer

Solana has a new validator client in the works with the Firedancer validator being launched on Testnet at the event. Aiming to turbocharger Solana’s performance, FireDancer aims to offer increases in transaction speed and scalability helping to provide a better De-Fi experience. Not just an upgrade though, FireDancer aims to rectify some of the validator problems faced in the past while laying the foundations for future infrastructure to be more robust.

A Controversial Parent

Iggy Azalea and her $MOTHER project attracted some attention when it was decided that her planned performance would not go ahead at the event. Never one to let the community down though, all was explained in an X thread which would spark some intense discussions online over what had actually occurred. Regardless of your perspective on meme coins, Azalea stands behind her project, which has an engaged and growing community helping it to achieve real-world use cases. An interesting use case of Web 3 technology, regardless of your perspective.

Going Mainstream

Crypto can be pretty controversial at times, with some wildly different takes on pricing, performance and future growth. As an observer of Solana for some time now, recently there’s been plenty of moves toward delivering a more mobile and user friend experience and mobile apps are simply part of that journey. Announcements like the ones made by Jupiter aren’t simply delivering a mobile app to the ecosystem. They are helping to lay the early foundations of building an engaged audience and taking their product into a new market by putting it in front of people who aren’t currently active in the space.

It’s hard not to be excited about SOL and projects like these when they have the potential to help grow the space over the long term.

While crypto still has a ways to go before mainstream adoption becomes more widespread, it’s moves like these that change the dynamic and help enable that transition.

Breakpoint ‘25

Next year's Breakpoint event has already been announced and Abu Dhabi is the venue of choice. It’ll also be held later in the year, with December 11–13 being the nominated dates. A short ticketing sale was open at the end of this year's event, but it’s currently closed so you’ll need to keep an eye on sales so you can grab one early. This year's Breakpoint was huge but the next promises to be even bigger.
