Any Coin or Token before being released to the market must deploy a contract on Blockchain networks. Blockchain is public and transparent, cannot be changed or modified, so from Smartcontract we can check the important parameters of any token. Within the scope of this article, I focus on guiding you how to check the Smart contract to see if the Dev has relinquished ownership of the Contract or not. In the following way: First you need to access the Explorer scan of the Blockchain network that Dev has deployed the contract to. I will use Memecoin $ZkPEPE on the Zksync Era network as an example for you to easily visualize:
1. Because $ZkPEPE is deployed on the Zksync Era network, I go to explorer.zksync.io and enter $ZkPEPE's contract in the search box.
2. Go to "Contract" »»» "Read" (or "Read Contract") »»» Click "Owner" »»» "Query" to see the wallet address that owns the contract. ✦ If the displayed result is a wallet address, then the Dev has not given up ownership of the contract. This means that Dev still has the right to decide to change the operating mechanism such as adjusting the Buy (Sell) Tax rate, minting additional tokens or locking liquidity...
✦ If the result displayed is the address "0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000" as shown above, continue to switch to the "Contract" »»» "Code" (or "Contract") tag to check if the Dev has really relinquished ownership of the contract. yet👇

3. Click on the code of the contract »»» Press Ctrl +F and enter the search keyword: public view virtual returns
✦ The result displayed as shown above is that the Dev has officially relinquished ownership of the contract: function owner() public view virtual returns (address) { return _owner;
✦ And if the results are displayed: public view virtual returns (address) { return address(0); As shown below is the Dev Fake Owner (showing Burn wallet (0x00000000000000000000000000000000000000) to cause confusion that they have given up ownership of the contract
