In societies where the rule of law is meant to prevail, the concept of justice is supposed to be administered through formal legal systems, ensuring fairness, accountability, and the protection of human rights. However, in many communities around the world, a parallel form of justice known as "jungle justice" has emerged, characterized by mob violence, vigilante actions, and extrajudicial killings. While proponents argue that it serves as a swift form of justice in the absence of an efficient legal system, the reality is that jungle justice undermines the very principles it claims to uphold, with far-reaching consequences for both individuals and society as a whole.
One of the most significant impacts of jungle justice is its erosion of the rule of law.
