1. I told them of the dangers, of the path they chose to take
But they wouldn't listen, and now their future's at stake

2. I told them of the consequences, of their reckless ways
But they just laughed and joked, and continued on their days

3. I told them of the hurt, they would cause to those they love
But they didn't care, and now they're sent from above

4. I told them of the importance, of living a life that's true
But they were too proud, and now they're feeling blue

5. I told them of the value, of hard work and dedication
But they wanted quick fixes, and now they're in desperation

6. I told them of the beauty, of a life that's simple and plain
But they wanted glamour, and now they're in pain

7. I told them of the joy, of living a life that's free
But they were too busy, and now they're trapped, you see

8. I told them of the peace, that comes from living right
But they were too stubborn, and now they're in for a fight

9. I told them of the love, that comes from living with grace
But they were too selfish, and now they're in a lonely place

10. I told them of the wisdom, that comes from living with age
But they were too foolish, and now they're turning the page
