Solar energy technologies are generally examined in two groups: thermal and photovoltaic systems. Photovoltaic cells are the name given to systems that convert solar energy coming to their surface into electrical energy. These batteries can efficiently convert solar energy into electrical energy. Photovoltaic cells are also semiconductor materials. When light falls from the surface, energy tension is created at its ends; The source of the electrical energy given by the battery is the solar energy coming to its surface and it produces electricity with this energy. If it is desired to increase the power flow, then multiple solar cells can be connected together and mounted on the surface.
Why Should Solar Energy Be Used?

When it comes to solar energy production, the first two things that come to mind are undoubtedly low cost and environmentally friendly stance. In this world where we are turning to the "natural" of everything, we prefer the natural source of energy and benefit from the blessings that nature offers us. While we benefit from nature's gifts, we also protect it.

One of the reasons why solar energy is preferred is its environmental benefits. Because, along with wind and water, one of the renewable energy sources is the Sun. While it was previously used only to meet the need for heating, solar energy is now used to produce electricity with the developing technology.
Cost of Electricity Generation from Solar Energy

First of all, a serious financial infrastructure is needed for solar energy electricity production. This system requires significant investment. Later, the work will become more cost-effective, but a serious infrastructure is required for installation beforehand. Details such as finding the necessary space, choosing the right materials, and which method to choose are important. Government incentives for electricity production from solar energy were given to many cities, but the important thing here was the geographical location. At this point, the highest quota was given to Konya due to its geographical location.
How much electricity does a solar panel produce?

A 1 kW photovoltaic silicon system (100 W) will produce 1 kW of electricity during the hours when the sun is fully received. In other words, the more kW system is installed during the hours when the sun is overhead and reaches the panel directly, the more electrical energy it is possible to produce. However, the sun falls from different angles throughout the year. On the other hand, insolation rates vary depending on the season.
In line with this data, it has been determined that there is an average of 7 hours of sun exposure per day. In this case, on average in a year;

1 kW x 6 hours x 365 days = 2190 kW energy will be produced.

Considering that some of this is lost for various reasons, you will obtain an average of 2000 kW of electrical energy.
Electricity bills indicate how many kW of electricity you consume daily or monthly. By making a ratio accordingly, you can calculate how much you will save with 2000 kW of electricity annually. The example above is given as a unit calculation for 1 kW solar panels.

In the light of all these explanations, let's give a more descriptive answer to the question of how much electricity the solar panel produces;
Home solar panels can produce up to 300 W of energy. However, it should not be forgotten that as the power increases, the size also increases. If you sunbathe for 1 hour a day, your 300 W panel produces 0.3 kW of electricity. Based on 7 hours of average sunshine, 2.1 kW of electricity will be produced. A 300W panel has an average size of 160 x 120 cm.

The average daily electricity consumption of a house is considered to be 10 kW. In this case, 5 or 6 solar panels of 300 W (3 kW) will allow you to easily meet all the electricity needs of your home throughout the year.
