1. The devil spoke to me, in a voice so sweet
Whispering lies, and deceitful treat
He promised me power, and a life of ease
But I knew his tricks, and his wicked tease

2. He said "Come with me, and I'll show you the way"
To a life of luxury, and a world of gray
But I knew his path, led to eternal night
And I refused his offer, with all my might

3. He tempted me, with riches and gold
But I knew his treasures, were worth nothing to hold
He promised me fame, and a name in lights
But I knew his glory, was just a fleeting sight

4. He spoke of revenge, and a chance to be free
But I knew his freedom, was just a trickery
He promised me peace, and an end to my pain
But I knew his peace, was just a wicked gain

But I knew his care, was just a cruel clue

But I knew his love, was just a wicked brew
