A farmer went to the forest to sow potatoes. While he was plowing, a bear came there. The bear said, “Farmer, I will break your bones and ribs.”

After some time, very big potatoes were produced. In the autumn the farmer came to take them out. At the same time, the bear also came out of the forest and said, “Farmers, come, let us distribute the potato crop.

Give me my share.” “Okay, let's share, dear bear! Here are your leaves and here are my roots.” The farmer gave all the leaves to the bear and loaded the potatoes in a horse-drawn cart and went to sell.

Both of them harvested the crop. The farmer gave roots to the bear and loaded the wheat into a horse-drawn cart and took it home.

The bear kept chewing the roots, but could not chew them. He became very angry with the farmer.
