Shrap Token

At the heart of the Shrapnel economy is the SHRAP token, providing utility and the medium of exchange on the Shrapnel platform. SHRAP tokens are ERC-20 tokens created on the Avalanche C-chain, brought to the SHRAPNEL subnet for use. Three billion SHRAP was generated on April 29, 2023.
All player-created content (PCC) on the platform will be published on-chain as unique (non-fungible) digital items using the SHRAP token. This use of blockchain technology allows players to claim ownership of their creations. This includes but is not limited to Callsigns, Insignias, skins, maps and vanities. Players can choose to sell, auction, or retain ownership their creations.
All holders of SHRAP can promote maps and certain vanity items as a way of voting for content, which will affect discoverability. Promoters will receive a portion of performance rewards in SHRAP, based on the content’s popularity.
The Shrapnel platform is implemented to enable systematic payment of validators in the subnet, giving Players and Creators a gasless experience. Additionally, the SHRAP token is used as a medium of exchange in the Shrapnel Marketplace.
