Arsenal smashed 6 past Sheffield United to continue their remarkable goal-scoring & winning run!
Arsenal continued their impressive away form by defeating Sheffield United 6-0 at Bramall Lane on Monday night. Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli were standout performers as the Gunners secured their third consecutive away win by a margin of five or more goals, a feat never achieved in the 136-year history of English league football.
The victory not only cut the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool to two points but also significantly improved Arsenal's goal difference, effectively adding an extra point to their tally. This remarkable achievement follows similar dominant performances against West Ham and Burnley in recent weeks.
Arsenal started strongly as Bukayo Saka hit the woodwork in the opening minute, and soon after Martin Odegaard scored from inside the box in South Yorkshire.
Saka’s low cross was diverted into his net by Jayden Bogle to make it 2-0 in the 13th minute, and then Gabriel Martinelli added a third with a deflected shot after Arsenal sliced through the Blades. Kai Havertz made it 4-0 after 24 minutes with a cool finish after Martinelli stole the ball high up the field.
The home fans had lost hope and left the stadium by the time Declan Rice scored the fifth goal near the end of the first half. The second half was less intense as it took Ben White almost 15 minutes to score the sixth goal with a strong shot. The Gunners lost their edge after many substitutions in the second half, but it was too late to change the outcome.
