The Devil's Lament

I am the Prince of Darkness, the Fallen One,
Condemned to roam this earth, my kingdom undone.
Cast out from Heaven, my pride was my fall,
Now I tempt mortal souls, ensnaring them all.

With cunning and guile, I whisper sweet lies,
Enticing the weak, making virtue despise.
I offer them power, wealth, and earthly delight,
If only they'll join me and forsake the light.

Yet even as I triumph, a hollow ache remains,
For the love I once knew, the grace that I stains.
I long for redemption, to be free from this curse,
But my fate is sealed, my soul grows ever worse.

So I continue my work, corrupting mankind,
Watching as they succumb, their souls I will bind.
For I am the Devil, the master of sin,
Until the end of days, when my reign will cave in.
The Devil's Bargain

I am the Tempter, the Serpent of old,
Whispering sweet nothings, my lies I unfold.
I offer you riches, power, and fame,
If only you'll sell me your soul, and take the blame.

Just sign on the dotted line, make the deal,
And all your desires I'll help you reveal.
Wealth beyond measure, a life of pure bliss,
All that I ask is your eternal abyss.

You think you can outwit me, play my own game?
Foolish mortal, your pride will be your shame.
For once you are mine, there's no turning back,
Your soul is forfeit, your life I will rack.

I've lured many before, their screams fill the night,
As they realize too late, they've lost the fight.
So heed my warning, do not be misled,
For in the end, your soul will join the dead.

The Devil's bargain is one you cannot win,
For I am the master of temptation and sin.
Sell me your soul, and you'll live to regret,
The day you made the deal you'll never forget.
