Gender and society is a course which is concerned about those things which brings about inequality and differences between men and women. How the society sees man and women.Why are a certain sex preferred to the other and also why do people prefer to have so many children.
It is the personal sense of one’s own gender.gender identity can correlate with a person’s assigned sex or can differ from it,most individuals have various biological determinant of sec which are as follows congruent and consistent with the individual gender identity 
Gender identity could be defined as a personal conception of one’s self as a male or female or rarely both or neither. This concept is intimately related with the concept of gender role which is defined as the outward manifestation or personality that reflects the gender identity.
Gender Identity is one’s perception,how you see yourself 
Gender role:is the manifestation of outward view that is how people see you.
Gender identity is self identified as the result of a combination and of inherent and exclusive or environmental factors, gender role on the other hand is manifested within society by observable factor such as behavior and appearance.
