Hello there! Whether you’re an investor or a trader, there are several websites and mobile applications that can make your crypto journey easier.

In this article, I will share my top 7 recommended crypto websites and apps to give you an edge over others to stay ahead of the curve. Guess what? They’re all free to use.

Interestingly, I visit these websites regularly to learn more, trade better, and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the cryptocurrency market. Let’s get started.

Tradingview/GoCharting: Used for technical analysis and price data

If you truly desire to be a profitable trader or investor in the crypto market, you must learn basic Technical Analysis (TA). Essentially, TA involves studying price movements, patterns, and indicators to predict future trends and make informed trading decisions.

To perform TA, you’ll need a reliable and user-friendly platform that provides you with accurate and up-to-date price data, charts, tools, and features. Fortunately, there are two great options available: Tradingview and GoCharting.

Honestly, both websites are excellent, but I prefer Gochatting over Tradingview because it offers more useful tools for free users. For example, Tradingview only allows free users to add up to three (3) indicators to their chart, while Gochatting lets you add multiple free indicators with customized intervals.

Moreover, GoCharting allows you to add multiple trading pairs, whereas Tradingview only permits a maximum of 30 symbols (trading pairs) under its free basic plan. Therefore, I recommend GoCharting to beginners on a tight budget who want free access to premium features.

CoinMarketCap or Coingecko: Used for fundamental analysis and project details

I guess you are familiar with CoinMarketCap and Coingecko. Both websites provide comprehensive information for fundamental analysis such as market capitalization, price, volume, supply, ranking, history, community, and more.

Although both websites offer similar details, somehow, I chose CoinMarketCap as my favorite. I find CoinMarketCap more user-friendly, accurate, and updated than Coingecko.

Also, CoinMarketCap has more features, such as a watchlist, portfolio, alerts, news, events, and more. If you have any other features to add, feel free to mention them in the comment section.

Cointelegraph: Used for reading crypto news and updates

Cointelegraph is one of my favorite websites for reading up on cryptocurrency news and updates.

This website covers a variety of topics related to Web3 technology, including blockchain, Bitcoin, business, Altcoins, NFTs, and DeFi. Also, you can find interviews, analyses, opinions, and reviews from experts and influencers in the crypto space on Cointelegraph.

I highly recommend this website/app for those interested in market updates and the latest news in the cryptocurrency industry.

Binance or Coinbase: Used for buying, selling, and trading cryptocurrencies

In my opinion, Binance and Coinbase are the most popular crypto trading platforms for buying and selling cryptocurrencies. These centralized exchanges help provide liquidity, making trading cryptocurrencies seamless for users.

Depending on your jurisdiction, both exchanges are great, but I prefer Binance to Coinbase. Binance has more advantages, such as higher trading volume, lower fees, more trading pairs, more advanced trading options, and more services, such as staking, lending, futures, and more. I’d love to know which crypto trading exchange is your favorite.

MarketCapOf: Used for comparing market caps of crypto projects

MarketCapOf is an excellent tool for comparing the market caps of various cryptocurrency projects, particularly the newer ones with the older ones. For example, you can compare the market caps of Ethereum and Solana, Cardano and Injective, or any other pairing of your choice.

Additionally, you can adjust the parameters to suit your requirements, making this website very user-friendly. I recently discovered this website, and it has been a game-changer for my team. You can visit their website for more.

MetaMask or TrustWallet: Used for accessing Web3, DeFi, and decentralized crypto stuff

MetaMask and TrustWallet are two popular hot wallets that enable you to interact with decentralized platforms like Web3, DeFi, and DApps. However, before using any Web3 wallets, you must understand the risks associated with them, such as theft and scams.

Moreover, you should also be cautious of phishing websites when connecting your wallet to any decentralized platform. If you’re conversant with the Web3 platform, which wallet would you suggest for beginners? Kindly share your thoughts in the comments section.

Twitter: Used for following crypto influencers and whales

One of the most important sources of information and inspiration for any crypto enthusiast is to follow crypto influencers and whales on Twitter (X).

Crypto influencers and whales can provide valuable insights, tips, opinions, news, and trends that can help you learn more, trade better, and stay updated on the latest developments in the crypto space.

Follow a few real accounts on Twitter sharing crypto updates and be active.

Final Thoughts

Listed above are my top 7 recommended crypto websites and apps for anyone interested in exploring the cryptocurrency market. There are other valuable websites and apps available on the internet, but these are the ones that I find most essential and helpful.

Do you have any favorite crypto apps or websites that you think should be added to this list? Feel free to let me know in the comment section.
