ENVER PAŞA
While in the 1st Company of the 13th Artillery Regiment of Bitola, he participated in operational missions to monitor and punish Bulgarian gangs. In September 1903, he was transferred to the first company of the 20th Infantry Regiment in Koçana, and a month later to the first company of the first battalion of the 19th Infantry Regiment. In April 1904, he was assigned to the 16th Cavalry Regiment in Skopje. Enver Bey, who went to the regiment in Stip in October 1904, completed his "sunûf-ı muhtelife" service two months later and returned to the headquarters in Bitola. Here he worked for twenty-eight days in the first and second branches of the staff department, and then he was appointed as the inspector of the Ohrid and Kırçova regions of the Manastır Military District. He became kolağan on March 7, 1905. During this duty, he was awarded with the third and fourth Mecidiye Order, the fourth Osmaniye Order and the gold Medal of Merit for his outstanding success in the military operations against the Bulgarian, Greek and Albanian gangs. He was promoted to major on September 13, 1906. His activities against Bulgarian gangs played a role in influencing his nationalist ideas. He was injured in his leg during the clashes and remained in the hospital for a month. He joined the Ottoman Freedom Society, which was established in Thessaloniki in September 1906, as the twelfth member. On his return to Monastir, he took action to establish the organization of the society there. He continued these actions more intensively after the merger of the Ottoman Freedom Society and the Ottoman Progressive and Committee of Union, headquartered in Paris, and the first organization was named the Ottoman Progressive and Committee of Union Internal Center. He participated in the revolutionary initiatives initiated by the Progressive and Committee of Union. He was invited to Istanbul after his actions were reported. However, he played a leading role in the revolution by going to the mountains on the evening of June 24, 1908. [8]
