Legendary: Heroes Unchained - What Is It and How to Earn on this Game?
I Became an Ambassador.
I became an ambassador for LHU, and it didn’t come out of nowhere. You know me well; I wouldn’t support something I don’t believe in or that isn’t good. As some of you might remember, some time ago, I discovered Legendary: Heroes Unchained, recorded a video, and uploaded it to YouTube.
Now, the opportunity came up to become an ambassador for the game, and I thought, why not? I like it, I play it in my free time, and I’m happy to share it with you. So, I decided to go for it, and here we are.
Here’s a full article about LHU, a card game built on Base, where you collect your heroes. But let’s start from the beginning...
Legendary: Heroes Unchained - A first-of-its kind ecosystem
This is the title of the website you click on to play game- Is it true? Let's check.
Legendary: Heroes Unchained is an easy-to-understand yet complex collectible card game, which is the first title in the Legendary ecosystem. In game, players dive into a thrilling hero-collector RPG where they can collect and upgrade heroes, battle through dynamic dungeons, and engage in PvP combat. The game allowing players to own their in-game assets as NFTs.
"(...)Once a Starter Hero reaches its maximum level, it becomes tradable on the open market(...)"
Each hero has unique attributes, and through gameplay, they can level up, gain new abilities, and be fused to create stronger versions. The dungeon mode offers roguelike experiences where players face random enemies and earn valuable rewards. As you progress, the game also features a rich guild system, where players can team up, complete challenges, and earn exclusive rewards. Game offering opportunities for competitive players to stake their heroes, participate in community events, and dominate the leaderboard. About this soon, little ones.
-Well, she has 3k health, and he hit her for 10k... good work!
The creators' vision when building the entire Legendary ecosystem:
"We’re creating a first-of-its-kind ecosystem for digital ownership, creation, and play.
We believe the future of gaming lies in building lasting ecosystems for players and creators alike. The Legendary Heroes ecosystem is our first step, where owner ship and participation go beyond the boundaries of traditional and even on-chain games.
In this ecosystem, every digital asset acts as a gameplay primitive, used to create new experiences. Whether you’re developing heroes, leading guilds, or building empires, the assets you own today unlock new possibilities, empowering you to contribute, compete, and create.
Legendary Heroes Unchained is our first game launched in this ecosystem using these digital objects, and we invite you to join us as we shape the future of games together.
Break free from the old systems, play hard, and own what’s yours"
-The last sentence is the one I like the most, it rallies for the battle.
Dungeons, portals, and various monstrosities to vanquish!
What does the gameplay look like? We have our 5 units-NFT cards in team. As is usually the case, these units have different abilities and belong to various domains, such as fire and nature, etc. It's important to understand these relationships; it's simple - fire is strong against nature, but water quickly extinguishes it.
The Rarity Tier defines both the maximum power level a hero can attain through gameplay and the number of copies of that hero’s NFT available in the game (referred to as the "print issue").
LHU features six Rarity Tiers: Starter, Promo, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, Epic, and Legendary. It’s a fantastic opportunity and great fun for collectors like me!
Game is of course FREE-TO-PLAY. Players will have access to FREE Starter Heroes, which can be minted and used in-game right away. Once a Starter Hero reaches its maximum level, it becomes tradable on the open market.
"(...)Hmmm... In web3 games, dewelopers keep talking about "ownership," how it's an advantage and all those other buzzwords... In LHU, they say the same, but there's action behind the words(...)"
In the game, we have various activities to participate in, allowing us to earn rewards and upgrade our team of units:
Dynamic Dungeons (The main game mode):
Each dungeon run creates a unique, randomized roguelike experience, offering opportunities to gain hero XP and earn valuable rewards. As your heroes grow stronger, you'll unlock access to more challenging dungeons with even greater treasures. This mode features dynamic battles, tricky obstacles, hidden treasures, and powerful relics that reshape combat rules, dungeon layouts, and even other game modes.
PvP Portals:
Portals allow you to venture beyond Korelis (universe) and confront the invaders across multiple worlds. Battle your way through these realms to unlock power crystals and revive feathers. Passively staking your NFT teams to scout and earn rewards in the background.
Guilds:
Team up with other players to earn Event Points in daily and weekend competitions. These events reward exclusive competition-only NFTs. Active participation not only strengthens your guild but is also the most effective way to gather essential resources to upgrade your heroes.
Phew, there’s a lot to do! We have a daily stamina pool for activities in the Portals and Dungeons, so we need to be mindful of every step we take in Korelis to make it both impressive and effective!
Tokenomics and how earning works?
"(...)And don't worry, you don't have to be the best right away, and you don't have to immediately invest in cards from the store(...)"
We need to make one thing clear, this is just the beginning. We are in Epoch 1 (Phase 1), and there are a total of four!
I think, in the end, it's an advantage for us that we are very early in the project, getting to know it from the ground up – we’ll be well-prepared when its popularity takes off!
All we know is that both the $LHU token and additional NFTs, such as Lands, will arrive with Epoch 2. For now, we have access to the NFTs of our units, which we can trade and upgrade.
So, how can you start earning right away?
There's one option: you need a powerful team and to win the events I mentioned earlier. By doing this, you'll acquire new unit NFTs, which you can either sell or add to your team and upgrade, you know?
And don't worry, you don't have to be the best right away, and you don't have to immediately invest in cards from the store (although that will definitely speed up your chances of earning). You can slowly upgrade your starter NFTs and try to win special fragments from the events. Once you collect 100 fragments, you'll be able to exchange them for a decent new NFT card. Sounds cool, right?
Why Legendary?
Aside from the fact that I enjoy slow, strategic gameplay where I can calmly think through every move? Hmmm... In web3 games, dewelopers keep talking about "ownership," how it's an advantage and all those other buzzwords... In LHU, they say the same, but there's action behind the words. You get several of your own NFTs right from the start, and you can see them immediately in your METAMASK, seriously!
-These are some of the starter NFTs in my portfolio
The graphics, by the way, are also quite pleasant. For a card game, it’s of a high standard. And I’m really excited about the game, I’ve always been a fan of something like Yu-Gi-Oh. Being involved so early in card collecting is just fun for me. Plus, it's built on Base – low gas fees.
I'll put it this way: the accessibility (playing directly in the browser), the simplicity of gameplay, and the fun of collecting sound like a great foundation for a solid project. As an AMBASSADOR, I'll be following the game for you and AMBASSADOR-ing away hahah. Jump into the game! I'll find you somewhere in the Portal!
