DOGE has also reportedly met with various blockchain projects to evaluate their technology. However, the article does not mention any specific blockchain networks, despite Trump and Melania's memecoins both launching on the Solana blockchain last weekend.
Elon Musk has yet to announce specific policies that the Department of Government Efficiency will implement in the coming months to streamline the apparatus and cut government spending, as outlined during President Trump's campaign.

In May 2024, Musk denied that he was advising Trump on cryptocurrency-related issues. "I'm pretty sure I've never discussed crypto with Trump, although I'm generally in favor of things that transfer power from government to the people, which crypto can do," Musk wrote.
"All governments should track all their spending on the blockchain, an immutable public ledger," former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao commented on social media X in response to the news that DOGE is considering adopting blockchain for operational transparency.

As reported, US President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order to establish a crypto policy advisory board for the US Government, led by David Sacks and tasked with formulating cryptocurrency policy, considering the establishment of a crypto reserve fund, and making the US a world leader in blockchain and AI advancement.
Mr. Trump is also reported by the US media to "favor" crypto projects with American origins, and this could be one of the blockchain platform criteria that Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency could use to make a choice.
