When will Bellingham return to Real Madrid training?
Real Madrid are anxiously waiting for their star midfielder Jude Bellingham to resume full training with his team-mates. The 20-year-old sprained his ankle and missed Madrid’s last three games - against Rayo Vallecano and Sevilla in La Liga and the first leg of the Champions League last-16 against RB Leipzig.
The Spanish club hope he will recover soon, and he is still doing solo physio, gym and pool work, but AS reports he is likely to join his colleagues in exercise and then in group training on Friday. Coach Carlo Ancelotti will decide if the England international will feature against Valencia in La Liga on Saturday.
Madrid will be eager to have the former Borussia Dortmund player back for the second leg of their Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on March 6. Bellingham is Madrid’s leading scorer in La Liga and the Champions League, with 20 goals and six assists in both tournaments since his €103 million (£88m/$110m) move from Dortmund in the summer.
Ancelotti and Bellingham will be hoping his reintroduction to proper training this week goes smoothly as they prepare for the weekend trip to Valencia, before hosting the German side at the Santiago Bernabeu four days later.
